do you trust your local weather forcast?

but serious,, what ya think of yer "local forcast"

ours suck shit..

 

yeah... for the current day, and as a guestimation of the next day. Any further than that and it's probably complete bullshit

 

I always just go to weather.com

But there are really only a few weather patterns here. Hot as fuck and sunny, 70s and sunny, thunderstorms, and hurricanes/.

they have an icon thingy you can install on your comp so your toolbar shows the current temperature and condition outside... nice and easy to check that way

 

A window is cheaper.

Someone did a study and found that none of the standard weather prection methods were as accurate as the forcast that "tommarow will be like today."

 

i like to plan around snow, though. i'm inexperienced with it. the hour by hour forecast on weather.com works pretty good.

 

I dont pay attention to weather predictions. I just go outside when I have to.
If its raining, I get wet. I dont really mind the cold too much, and if its hot, theres not much i can do about it

-3C is positively warm for winter. Not quite melting the snow, but verrrry close

 

its warmer there than it is here. bout -10
though as of a week ago it was up to +10 and all the snow had gone. january was awesome

 

the weather here is okay... id say it's right more so then not, but then again, i dont take it as set in stone. it is what it is.

 

My local forecast is rarely ever right.

 

Being a weatherman is one of the few jobs where you can routinely screw up and still keep your job. In Connecticut they can't predict snow to save their life. We are in the throes of a snow panic. Big angry blizzard is stalking us.... by loads of groceries... lock your pets inside- or outside... hide under your bed or a sturdy table... forecast at noon... aftercast tomorrow or Sunday or whenever it gets done not happening.

 

ours generally go tonight 27 degrees and snow, tommorrow 53 degrees and thunderstorms, sunday -5 windchill and chance of ice storm.
