I have fallen in love with docs, and I really want some! Would a hippie in Docs look a bit strange or would it be really cool?
Doc Martens My absolute favourite shoes in the whole entire world =] I got those yellow ones like a year or two ago :S I think...nearly 2 years ago and since then I've been wearring them A LOT Pretty much EVERY free dress day I wear them, when I go out with my friends, or...anywhere. They're the only shoes I wear SO much. But they give me blisters, like on the back of my ankle, so whenever I wear them I have to put a bandaid in that spot, otherwise by the time I'm finished walking around my feet are bleeding haha. But that's how much I love them, I can stand that pain, for those shoes lol. And they're pretty heavy aswell, even though mine aren't that tall. Not sure which ones you're planning on getting...but yeh, I don't regret getting mine at all and I wear them with dresses and more kinda formal clothing aswell to many parties lol, theres just no pictures of my feet They make me feel really...grounded, I guess. And - this is gonna sound stupid - but they also kinda give me a sort of security :S but yeh...this is a long post but... if you like the docs, then get them because I'm still in love with mine =] - even though most people don't like them hahah peace love Jane

I really like that i dont think you should worry about whether you can wear them or not because your a hippie or something, wear what you want plus, Doc Martens rock haha especially coloured ones! I think my yellow ones are so bright and happy peace love Jane
I love my Doc's-wore my purple pair so much i wrecked them! Even wore them to our summer ball with my posh £150 dress, and everyone loved it, (and the fact i had the balls to do it). Now i have a black pair, and i love them.
Doc martens rock. Though i don't have 'em :'( One day i will, when i'm away from my parents. They don't relle like doc Martens. Ahwell.. life is hard.

I don't think it would be a big deal either way... I used to have like 4 or 5 pairs when I was in highschool... I grew out of them though. Looking back, I think they were kind of klunky-looking on me...
I used to have a pair of balck Doc's but got rid of them after I had kids and ditched the 'rock chic' look. But I still think they are cool and very comfotable. They come in about a million different designs too.
haha That was a damn good reference. And I second that, try it out. Docs are pretty awesome from time to time.
I tried on some of the heavier ones and didn't care for them, ended up with a lightweight pair (1460 I think is the model#). Loved them, but the heels are higher than I usually wear and they made my bad back hurt. Got the back fixed, so maybe I can wear them again, they sure feel good on my feet. One thing I noticed is that they take a long time to break in, but it's worth it.
"all I ever wear are animal-less sneakers or birckenstocks" well birks are not very animal less, but I am totally guilty of the same offence. haha what clothing you wear does not define who you are or what you belive, so I say go for it if it feels right. shalom.
Yay, I've finally found some green, shiny vegetarian Doc Martins!! All I have to do is allow my self to overspend my monthly budget by £30 and they're mine!
