ok, I just got back from the urologist and damn if she didnt take like evrything fun out of my life in one swoop

I am now on doctors orders to not smoke, not drink (alcohol), no fruit, and no liquid except water for 3 months!!! Im gonna do it because of recent health issues..like I wanna trust her jugement

My question is this though....do yall think weed is still cool? like I understand that the toxins in ciggs has been fucking my waterworks up (her words...w/out fuck lol) but those toxins arent in weed so think it'd still be cool?

I'd prolly say to be safe to hold off on smoking, but if you really need to get high make some brownies a lot healthier than smoking it and gets you just as high.

maybe find out what specific chemicals are causing the problem - it's not worth REALLY jeopardizing your health to smoke/drink... that's really intense though, 3 fucking months. that's like ALL SUMMER. maybe if you smoke cleaner (buy a vape?), you can still smoke weed without taking in the nasty chems.

They'll tell you you shouldn't...regardless...so basically it's pretty pointless to ask them.

^^ not necesarily, one of my friends asked if he could smoke weed because of his diabetes, he said it was fine, just to stay off alcohol because of his meds. Completely different scenerio but still, doctors usually won't lie to you, unless there twisted fucks

Were you there in the Doctor's office when he asked?

If not, I wouldn't believe it. Unless you live in a state that allows medicinal marijuana, legally, a doctor cannot promote illegal drug use.

Always be fully honest with your doctor, I say. Ask and ye shall find out.

My doc's pro-pot and he's always been straight forward about whether or not my pot was going to coflict with my healing/meds.

haha ok. My friend has no reason to lie, and a doctor can tell you watever he wants. And he wasn't promoting illegal drug use, he simply told him the facts, saying it was safe for him to smoke weed. Why are you so damn skeptical?

Anything that begins with "One time, my friend..." or "My friend told me..." I am skeptical about.

Actually a Doctor can't tell you anything he/she wants...they sign something out of med school to always practice medicine a certain way...which, since I'm not in med school I don't know what it says, but they do have legal restrictions in what they can and cannot say to patients.

Well since your not a doctor, im gonna be skeptical with you. Yea, sure they might have guidelines on what they can/cannot say to patients, but do you really think everyone follows it?? haha maybe in another world.

What the fuck? The doctor was not prescribing this drug to the patient, or "promoting" illegal drug use. but was simply being honest and ethical with the patient, by talking about pot in a reality-based manner, not the DARE/DEA manner.

You will find that most doctors dont have much at all, if any, issues with cannabis use.

And to the op, I would say like the others to either vape, keep smoking, or at least check with your doctor. I dont really know what you have going on healthwise though, so that decision is best made by you

normally you should ask the doc if you can or cant smoke mj, but from what the OP posted, i would say that under those circumstances i would doubt smoking anything would be permitted...
saying that, i would suggest that you either vape yer weed (plus ull get waayyy higher, so its a good investment to buy a nice vape...), or you start eating yer weed

just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in.

our family doctor knows my mom smokes pot. he's know for as long as she's been going to see him. she asks him when she get's sick if she should smoke or not, depending on what is making her sick, and he always is honest with her. so to say that the doctor can't "talk about if you can/can't smoke weed due to being sick" isn't true.

and if you still think i'm making this up, i have my own story.

not to long ago, i went to the doctors when i was sick. my mom was with me when i went because she had an appointment as well. the doctor saw us both at the same time. my mom went through with her check up and i was just starting mine. the one of the first questions my doctor asked was if i smoked. as my mom is walking out the door, she turns and says "he's not smoking cigarettes." the doctor started to laugh and looked at me. i gave him the look like, oh well i do, and he goes "oh well, it's better for you than cigarettes".

so, the doctor can say if you should smoke pot or not when you're sick. you aren't trying to get drugs off the doctor so it's not illegal. you are asking a medical question, and as long as it's for a medical reason, they can answer you. depending on how long you've known your doctor, you can talk more open about things. plus, i think this falls under the confed. law, so you should be able to.
