Part of my third tattoo has magenta ink, that part is raised and itchy; and it drives me crazy sometimes. I feel like I'm the only one, but I'm not. I use tea tree oil and Aveeno anti itch lotion what else can I use to help stop the itch.

I usually itch after tats and I only use black ink. IDK if I'm allergic to the ink, dressing or what. I am allergic to the glue in tapes and bandaids, which I avoid. I just suffer thru the itching for a few days and it goes to normal.

    how old is your tattoo?

I use e45 cream on mine when it starts to itch... if it's healed and raised that means its scar tissue, tattooer went in too deep :-/

Yeah. I'm only mildly allergic to some reds but my mom had a pretty crazy reaction to the reds that ended up with some scarring.

Some antihistamines and shea butter is what she used but it took months before it healed properly.

I guess I might be allergic. I've got missing ink all over my tattoo because of something. The sores were so deep that all the color came out in those spots.

Today I got a tat and for the first time got it shaded instead of just a line drawing. I wasn't aware that he was using 'white' ink in the shading.

Anyhow, for the first time a new tat actually hurt after being done. It quit hurting after about an hour or so. I usually itch after tats, so I will see how this white ink does.

BTW, just white & black ink. The red is me.
