if you get that software I installed working you can just drag and drop the files onto the phone.

Does your phone have infra-red? You can get an infra-red to USB device for a tenner or so I'm told.

Open the image. Put it to full size so it fills up your entire screen. Get your phone. Take a photo of your screen, after letting the phone camera adjust to the brightness. Save and send.


It's not as fancy as bluetooth, but it's cheaper.

 

why not print the pictures onto photo paper and send them to her in the post?

Look, its for your own good. You can't be writing to the King of France with 'Hello-your-high-ne-s-s', that stuff doesn't wash. He'll cut your fingers off in an ironic gesture, referring to the muffling of today's society by erasing their capacity to type, not talk.

If you want to do that, rather than edit the image on your phone, best to adjust the brightness and contrast levels of your monitor before you take the picture to get the best possible image quality.
