Planning on smoking for my first time, and I'll probably be using a joint (which I hear can be harsh). So I was wondering if caughing takes anything away from the experience... will I have to force myself to take hits because it's so unpleasant or something?
Honestly... I've only coughed maybe 3 times EVER while puffin on some good 'ol pot. I have strong lungs from years of swimming though, so maybe that was why I don't cough much... BUT. The first time I coughed was the 4th time I smoked and I took a HUUUUUUGE hit from my first bowl and I coughed for 5 minutes straight, the second and third time's I coughed was because of people making me laugh while I was in the middle of hitting a bong. I'd say, just don't too big of hits, and take it easy if you have to. You'll still get high as hell. Suck the smoke into your lungs, take your mouth off of the joint, then suck in some clean air till your lungs are full, hold for about 5 seconds or so then exhale.... IF YOU COUGH YOU ARE MOST DEFINATELY DOING IT RIGHT, and I found that the three times I did cough I actually got WAY higher then other times without coughing... It does hurt your throught like a bitch when you cough though.
it gets you higher. lack of oxygen to the brain will make anyone feel a head change. when i take fat hits and have coughing fits ill be stoned in a matter of a hit or two.
There is an old(ish) stoner saying "If you don't cough, you don't get off" - just thought I'd add that.
Well first, try making the thread make sense. I dont know what "caughing" is lol. But anyways coughing is just a natural part of smoking. If you put something in your body it'll have a reaction. Its just something you do. And no it wont take away from the experience lol
Yeah I have always heard coughing makes it more intense, but I never had sufficient evidence by anyone saying that is true. I think its just a little trip trick, to try and make users feel it. I'm not sure, but cough or no, I get stoned regardless.
