But nothing is on the screen, so there is just a signal you can slightly hear.

I was walking downstairs, and I knew my dad left his tv on in his room today, because I could hear the signal. I am wondering if that is weird.

One of my housemates will always come into the living room, turn on the TV, watch for 5-30 minutes, then leave with the TV left on.

This bothers me, and it's what I thought this thread was about.

my sister does that all the time. It drives me crazy, then she leaves all the lights on and the fans. I always ask "Do you think we have connections at the electric company??"
