Does Weed Cause Halucination

Hey i've heard a lotta stories and this hasnt happened to me but does weed cause halucinations?? and if it has happened to u please share your story...

 

if it is laced then it could. but smoking just weed doesnt cause hallucinations, in all my ears of smoking ive only gotten them when I smoke it with shrooms

 

I have a story to tell... Bah I hate having to type this over and over! Well here it is. I dont know if it was laced with something, my friends smoked the same stuff and they were just fine, so think what you want!

Background: I had only smoked pot about 5-6 times before, each were about a bowl.
Story: I had about 3-4-5 bowls out of a water bong for the first time. Much more than I had ever smoked before. My legs started shaking and that scared me. I stood up and tried to walk it off, but it escalated and I got dizzy and ill-feeling. I couldn't stand, half my body felt hot and half was cold. I had to lay down, but that felt bad so I stood up, that felt bad too, so I layed down again. I went back and forth till finally I was too tired to stand. I sat down and started rocking back and forth for a while then I layed there tossing and turning for what seemed forever, I could see the waves of intense pain (it wasnt really pain, I cant explain what it was, but it was horrible) coming at me. I thought I was going to die. After an hour, I threw up a lot. Then I sat down on the couch, and I realised that I had been having closed-eye visuals the whole time. I sank into the couch and felt good. I realised the whole time, I had imagined when I was sick, I was climbing upward through the inside catacombs of a pyramid in the middle of the desert. It was dark with steps leading upwards, cobwebs everywhere. Once I felt better, and I sat on the couch, I imagined I was at the top of the pyramid and sun was beating on my face. I then slide down a water slide down the side of the pyramid. I felt the water on my back. I was in heaven. I had mild closed eye visuals of indian/aztec pictures. I felt as though I was traveling down a path once traveled by Jim Morrison. Then I fell asleep, and woke up the next day wondering what happened. My friends who had the same stuff were just fine, and said it was just a body high or just all in my head. I still dont know what happened.

 

it sounds like you had a body high and you smoked laced weed. It happens to the best of us, dont worry

 

Marijuana is classified as a hollicigen (can't spell...). It can cause aural hallucinations, but not too many visual hallucinations; I remember being able to bring everything in my line of sight into a 2-dimensional realm. But that was during the first few times I smoked.

 

yeah o course if u have enough really strong hydro or hash or if u take it orally (potentially way stronger than any smoke) - I always trip when i eat it - get colorspaterns visuals

 

i dont know what you guys are talking about- i hallucinate with weed all the time, mostly sounds and visual hallucinations. i cant believe u guys dont trip when ur smoking. maybe the weeds daiiferent in austalia, its not laced by the way- just chronic ganja

 

We smoked a batch of home grown which had us tripping over the light fandango!! lolol. I reckon puff affects different people in different ways. Some people can handle the effects, but i think there are others that can be tipped over the edge and get seriously paranoid and should stay well clear from it. Also, the effects of puff change if you mix it with booze or other drugs.

 

The weed I grow myself (NO WAY IN HELL IT IS LACED) some of it does make you hallucinate a little, but this one strain i have had since 1999 or so, it will get you thinking it was laced- or your having flashbacks from lsd.The shit will get you really trippin hard, im not kidding.

it really has a lot to do with the actual plant chemistry more than anything, i scored some green mexi yesterday 60 an ozer, and it had me and my girl hallucinating a little, hey that reeminds me im gonna scwag some out and do some ripps. Im waiting for my new 430watt HPS light system today! Today is a beautiful day!

 

never had any halucinations from weed but the strain i'm growing now has a reputation of causing a trippy high :H

 

I dont know what you guys are talking about?? Weed around here doesnt hardly give hallucinations at all. Course I did but that was very rare.

 

Im glad i never have to worry about laced weed here. The true defenition of hallucination is an illusory perception, so yes, I guess I have experienced some hallucinations and in my mind it IS POSSIBLE to do so (auditory perception is NOT a hallucination). Hard to believe one can hallucinate on pot ? think of this.

I once smoked to the point where my eyes started to water and it felt like they were marbles ready to fall out, because of this, after smoking enough pot, images can start to blur. Add this bodily effect to what happens to your mind after smoking alot, thoughts begin to wander and meld together, in addition one becomes more creative. So.. you have blurred, distorted images mixed with a creative yet also slower/dopier mind. Combine the two and you might just say to your buddy " i just saw a cop drive by " or that tree is walking closer towards us". Sound familiar ? hehe, i think we have all had hallucinations in the past weather we realize it is a different story.

We can then bring philosophy into this and question what is "real' and what is mere perception (Plato's analogy of the cave etc.) I will not bore you with this tho.

I once smoked 3 big biftas of pure chronic and after lying down and concentrating on the high for while i started to feel as tho i was accellerating and my vision went weird like i was going through a tunnel like the room went concave sorta, then i listned to pink floyd shine on you crazy diamond and it started to rain sparkles of light. Probley laced or somthing. And wen i used the same weed outside wen it was dark the horizon, my friends teeth and lines of his face, and the line around anything glowed purple. Purple haze?

 

i dunno about you guys but when im driving and look into the trees i see shapes in the different color shades of the leaves turning into familiar things like cats dogs women... they are all outlines kinda but you notice it.. Ive only really tripped once on weed and it was at the exact same time with my friend going down rocky hill road we were driving and there was this blue light in the road going back and forth infront of us and he was trying to catch up to it and it was just like beeing in teh zone or something cuz i was so focused in on it and it turned into a game kinda.. lasted for like 30-40 seconds after it ended he said dude i was trippin =P he described it alittle different then i did but that was just an odd moment =P

Actually, to meet the medical definition of a hallucination, it needs to be an illusory perception that the perceiver thinks is REAL.

Only a tiny handful of drugs (mostly anticholinergics like datura) actually cause true hallucinations. The user of so-called "hallucinogens" like LSD, mushrooms, or marjuana nearly ALWAYS realizes on some level that what he/she is experiencing is due to the effects of the drug they took.

 

~*i've hallucinated off of weed lots an lots boys and girls ~ visual, audio, the works. then again... i hallucinate when i breathe certain ways too.... point being that some do get the heebies when smoking the grass ~ and that doesn't mean that its laced either. i've been privvy to the good outdoor organic variety and the same woo-baa-haas happen. also, some strains do it proper like fuckin'incredibleXbermeese causes an increase in your hallucinationability. i like the tracers and glows and heightened sense of awareness ~ the only way to find out what YOU are like is to give it a whirl! note :: i am not condoning any acts of illegal activity. heehee*~

 

i concur dude, ausi weed isdefinately trippy. well a lot of it is. i think its caus a lot of weed grown here is sativa. at least the majority of waht vie smoked.

i think the thing with weed hellucinations is that theyre more a different perception of objects. we get the visions of odd things by percieving visuals different. all perception is changed for me. i have a ahrd time calculating people's feelings when high, not sober tho. my desk is plywood and it has patturns of wood grain all over is. when high i like to look at it and see all teh little pictures i can find but the coolest thing is, when i actuay lok at teh grain, the picture IS there, i just would never have normally seen it that way, or sometimes its really feint and it stands out when im high.
in teh dark people often see thigns in the trees and stuff. i see this is a perceptive mistake, not an actual visual.

when i close my eyes tho, i see heap of cool stuff, but its never -real- its always like a colourful cartoon.

but yeah as Ellis said, u need to think theyre real for it to be a hallucination, and if your not a rookie stoner, then youll know that the visuals are fake.

i think indica doesnt have the same visual and aural change as sativa. differernt areas have different stuff growing thats why mabe some ppl havnt experienced it

 

hell yeas weed can cause hallucinations. expecially if its eaten, it can certianly cause a body high thats totally different from smoking it. Most of the time tho it was in my mind and i was hallucinating. if you keep smoking tho i guess you prolly wont hallucinate, unless if you stopped for awhile and smoked a lot then I firmly believe tho if you have mentl issues you could easily hallucinate (for worse too)
