Sorry if this is the wrong section but i figured family would be best.
My dog has a couple large scraped on her chest.
I'm not in a position to make good decisions right now if you know what i mean,
would numbing ointment be healthy to use on a dog? she's shaking a lot and crying because the scrapes are painful, she can't seem to sleep ei ther. The bleeding has stopped but i can tell she;s still in some pain.
    Thanks in advance.

you said they are wounds are scraped like. first, trim all hair off around the wounds. second, rinse the wounds with plain water at room temp. if the wounds are not too deep you can wash them with a mild cleanser. aveeno skin relief body wash which is fragrance free; it is the best thing to use. it has colloidal oatmeal which is soothing to damaged skin and alot of wounds. test it on a small area of the wound first. you can use something like neosporn + pain relief maxium strength cream. you may need to bandage the wounds too. if your dog tears the bandage off, you may well need to put one of the cone collors around her neck. if this does not work or, if she gets worst you will need to take her to a vet.

Aspirin can be safely given to a dog. Tylenol is supposed to be harmful, although I have a friend who gave her dog Vicodin (which contains Tylenol) when it broke its leg without ill effects.
I see that you are 16, maybe you could get your parents or a trusted adult to help you. You may need to take the dog to the vet if it's injuries are bad enough. In larger towns, there are vets that are open on the weekend, and it smaller towns, you can usually call the vet at home and get help. We've done that and our local vet was happy to help.
