Doppelgangers

You've heard of them, right? They're our exact doubles, and usually they are recognized as being our evil doubles. Well, this is a true story that happened to me about 2 to 3 years ago.
I was in a bakersfield taco bell returning from L.A., eating lunch with a friend. This guy walks into the restaurant, and no joke, it was my exact double. Unbelievable. I had never seen someone who looked so similar to me in my entire life. The guy orders his food, and his voice is my exact same voice (tone, speed, everything). He then gets his food and takes a seat, begins eating. I'm watching all of this occur, completely blown away by how much this guy looks like me. Finally, its like he senses something strange is going on. He starts to look around the place real suspiciously, and finally he sees me. I can't really explain what must have went through his mind, but his eyes sort of go into a blank shock, and he quickly stands up and exits the place, leaving his food behind. It was like he was in panic mode.
I sat there for a while trying to figure out what had just happened, and all i could reason was that the guy was my doppelganger. Then i thought more into it. It was him who was really freaked out by me, which then led me to believe that it was actually I who was his doppelganger. I was the evil one.

 

wow. wish i could meet mine! you know that theory about parallell universes? well maybe he was from the parrallel universe and somehow crossed over here. if he's your doppleganger, than it probably freaked him out because he was thinkin the exact same thing you where!
maybe in his universe he posted the exact same post you did...spooky!

 

thats it...i'm officially scared.

 

i think the parallel universe thing goes if you to actually contacted eachother like touched i guess that you both would be destroyed

 

if we had talked or touched, that may have been the end of this dimension as we know it. i guess i did us all a favor. im a hero!

 

This is a weird version of a doppleganger.

A man was on his was to work but for some reason, was late.
Anyway this man had to report to his depot to pick up his stock to deliver that day and he used his own car to do this.

Making his way along the same route he made every day, he approached the familiar roundabout but as he was driving around it, he glanced over to the other side or the road and saw a fright. What he saw was the same car as him with his doppleganger driving it, just as if the man had made it to work on time and was not late driving off from the depot like he always does everyday to deliver his stock.

great stories; are doppelgangers necessarily evil? i found it interesting that you came to suspect that you were his copy, and not the other way round. it kind of reminded me of a scene in waking life, that says, the moment you realize that you are a character in another person's dream, that's when you're truly enlightened.
...or something like that, now i'll have to find the quote.

what actually happened was the future you went back in time, but they realised they couldnt bump into you or else something would go wrong. and when they saw you, they though 'oh shit.. i camt to taco bell today.. fuck ok i better get outta here before he realises that i look and talk and eat just like him (he is oblivious to the fact that you have already sus'd this much out)

so.. get ready.. you might be going on a trip through time soon

interesting, stoner bill. as for nightmarehippy, the reason i assumed i was his doppelganer was because of the reaction this guy had on his face. it was obvious that he was frightened by me, when for some reason i was rather stone faced about the whole situation (which is strange, because i love to freak out about stuff). i've seen waking life, and i like that quote. another mindfuck: there was a time a while back when i was sincerely tripping out on this world because i could sense that something just wasn't right. the thing was, i constantly had this terrifying feeling that my face did not like the way it looked. i was obsessed with this belief that i was trapped in a long, drawn out dream, and this face that i had was just a dream manifestation. you ever have dreams where you look at yourself in the mirror, but something is telling you that the image you see just isn't completely accurate? like, it sort of resembles what you really look like, but it just isn't right? i had this feeling for months, until eventually i accepted it. maybe i still am in that dream. and now you, hippygirl, have realized that you're a character in my dream, so congratulations: you're enlightened.

 

I HAVE ONE OF THOSE. I went to a jet concert a few months back, anyway... they filmed it and it was on tv... and I watched it, and I was like "Wow there is a lot of footage of me" and my man said "But you had on a different top" and I said "Holy shit i did too... OH MY GOD i HAVE A CLONE!!!!"

 

Dude...that's so awesomely fucked up! that measn that this entire forum could just be part of your dream, that every single person, and every single on of his friends, family, etc. are just part of your dream. This whole world could cease to exist the single minute that you wake up. That's so aweosme man....

 

weird thing-ive seen people who look just like younger or perhaps older versions of me...

 

about the dream thing-perhaps this world is everyones dream. Maybe we are all asleep, waiting to wake up together

never seen that one...but speaking of twilight zones, i have two favorite episodes. one is when those astronauts crash on a strange planet, and they end up killing each other because there is a lack of resources. then, the remaining guy takes a walk and he comes across a sign that says "las vegas 39 miles". they never even left earth. hilarious. my second favorite episode is the one where that guy never shuts up, so another guys bets him a million dollars that he cant stay quiet for a year. he takes the bet, and spends the year in a glass case without talking, but then the dude who made the bet confesses that he cant pay it, and then the other guy removes his turtle neck to reveal the fact that he sliced his vocal cords in order to win. deep.

 

i dont really follow this dream thing.. caus the brain cannot imagine the whole world, when yopu dream, your dream really only composes your immediate environment.

but the concept of that quote is still rather valid

...what was it like to see yourself in real life from other eyes though??? that would be cool....
and also i see younger versions of me...but they aren't are they....
