Who's gonna see the new dragon ball movie? It's probably gonna be so shit, but me and my friend are gonna sneak in some alcohol into the cinema and drink every time someone says "kamehameha!".
If you ever were a fan of DBZ then you will be greatly disappointed. I have seen the movie already through a streaming web site, it has very little in common with the anime.
i'm such a fan of DBZ, and even though I love James Marsters (off Buffy) I dont think I can bring myself to see it.... They assassinated everything that Goku was. He was a dork, sort of foggy upstairs and as naive as a child. He wasn't tough or cool, thats Vegeta or Piccolo.... I saw a part in the preview where Bulma's pill thing transforms into a vehicle and then he says, 'Cool'... I can imagine Goku saying something "Ah wow it turned into vehicle. Who would have though HAHA!". He was a dork (thats not a put-down by the way), i love that he's not tough (personality wise) and doesn't have macho-man one liners...
Yeah, well in the Japanese version, Goku's voice was done by a woman, to make him sound like a little boy, still innocent and kind hearted.
hmm don't you think anime should be keped as anime and not be brought into live action? hmm this maybe my opinion but... don't you think they're "americanizing" a great show? Take naruto... or Cowboy Bebob
yes i agree. i dont even think its necessary. The voice actors and the animators do such a fine job, I couldn't ask for anything else. Aren't they doing a LA of Cowboy too?
Yes they're gonna "adapt it" which i can't stop but to think they're gonna ruin it i mean... it's a classic and inuyasha which's my favorite anime EVER's gonna be turned into a musical! *sigh* no comments
I usually stick to mangas because of the whole "Americanized Concept" they have with anime when they dub it for the states. Also I like the Japanese voice actors better in most cases, I think Cowboy Bepop and DBZ had decent american voice actors but those are exceptions. Have any of you been to any cons?
Vegeta and Freza saga and the Dragon Ball series, relatively DBZ isn't the best of animes but it got me into anime so it's awesome. Yeah I've been to only one con but I got to meet the DBZ voice actors pretty sweet, and also the guy who did Vash the Stampede and Hello Kitty. A nice look into the anime industry in america.
i like Trunks and Piccolo. Trunks has the best entrance ever. He goes to Freiza challenges him and takes him out easy, and his Ol' Man too.
