Ok, im thinking about starting dreads but i was told that you have to shave your head when you don't want them anymore? Are there any other ways?
Don't listen to those people, they know nothing about dreads ^^ Chaos is riight, conditioner a comb and patience.
I won't be shaving my head though I do think it would be cool - such a drastic change after I am done with my locks - if I am ever done with them!
did they tell you, you couldnt wash them to, and you have to use wax?... people are just fucking dumb, and like to talk shit, about what they know nothing about...
ok so... I don't know if my dreads could be combed out... but you can cut them short and then comb them out. and up till about 8 months of having them you can def comb them out.
I don't think mine could be combed out at all. If I tried to it would take hours and my hair would probably look like SHIT so I'd have to shave it anyway. I think I'm just going to keep my dreads forever and trim them if the weight starts to hurt when they grow. I don't think I could shave my head, when I shaved my side cut I felt so self conscious for the first week because it was bare! I tried to imagine shaving it all off but I just don't think I could deal. It wouldn't take too long to grow though...anyway, I'm ranting..worldpeace combed hers out but hers were maintained ect. and I read that it's harder to comb out more naturally formed dreads.
When I cut mine (which won't be for like 8 years) I'll just cut them all off first so I can have the dreads to play around with lol. And then I'll shave my head.
