    Are there any other ways?

    That person lied to you

They come out, just takes some time, conditioner and patience.

I won't be shaving my head though I do think it would be cool - such a drastic change after I am done with my locks - if I am ever done with them!

ok so... I don't know if my dreads could be combed out... but you can cut them short and then comb them out. and up till about 8 months of having them you can def comb them out.

I don't think mine could be combed out at all. If I tried to it would take hours and my hair would probably look like SHIT so I'd have to shave it anyway. I think I'm just going to keep my dreads forever and trim them if the weight starts to hurt when they grow. I don't think I could shave my head, when I shaved my side cut I felt so self conscious for the first week because it was bare! I tried to imagine shaving it all off but I just don't think I could deal. It wouldn't take too long to grow though...anyway, I'm ranting..worldpeace combed hers out but hers were maintained ect. and I read that it's harder to comb out more naturally formed dreads.

When I cut mine (which won't be for like 8 years) I'll just cut them all off first so I can have the dreads to play around with lol.

And then I'll shave my head.
