dreads, what is it with them??

why does everyone want and love dreads so much, imo theyre nothing special, just lumpy hair. so yea, hippies please enlighten me ..

 

yea they always seemed kinda dirty to me

 

dreads are wonderful in my opinion. they mean different things to different people. they are a change from mainstream idealism, a way of self expression, an effort free hair style, a journey of self, and much, much more.

 

i'm getting dreads in the summer

i was thinking the same thing.

dreads are dirty if you are dirty, dreads are clean if your clean. most people i know who have dreads wash their dreads/scalp 3-4 times a week.

i dont have dreads, i have simple short hair, and most wouldnt concider it dirty.... but it is....

judging by false sterotype is just showing your ignorance.

jeez im just saying i like my mohawk, i think dreads on a chick are kinda hot, i just wouldnt want them myself, nothing against the ppl with dreads. just personal preference

shit i must be a festering pile of shit to you then. i wash far less than 4 times a week.

i just love being dirty... makes me feel more real. I'm still covered in dirt from last weekends festival.

i will be growing(not "getting") dreads in a few months. i cant right now, because of work and probation. but after that i will be on my journy.

i knew someone would have said that. i mean usually i shower and wash my hair everyday. but everynow and then i skip a day or 2, so there for 5 or 6 days.

Dreads look terrible on Women IMO, the only people that look decent with them are Black Men.

I disagree- I think any form of restraint is something to be admired. Simply seeking pleasures is just not good- puts your head up in the clouds. By giving up anything, you're showing your fundamental superiority over superficial pleasures.
