Sometimes it seems as if my dreads are going nowhere and then POOF, one day they seem to lock up like crazy. I pretty much leave them alone besides washing and separating. Does anybody else do this or is it a slow constant thing? I am super excited because they seemed to have one of those "growth spurts" yesterday.

They are almost a month old....the back is pretty gnarly, it think one of them sprouted twins:tongue: and there is a stubborn one I named "mule" that is slow at knotting up but I am hoping over time it will be ok. No wax or anything, just separating daily, wearing a tam a lot, a little palmrolling. Going natural gives some interesting results!
