I've had this dream about me living in a house of fallen nobility. It was a very nice house actually, full of precious, old objects and furniture. The house was near a river, that in this dream will flood a little side of the riverbank before the house. In order to keep track of how much the river swells, the nobleman living there had it ordered to have the river closed (a device closing the river, with doors like those of a cellar, with chains and locks, all along the river). Of course, during the flood, the water goes above the level of the device and swells going a little on the side of the shore near it. The nobleman tells me it's ok, we're quite safe, opens the window and sits down in his armchair to drink his coffee.
I had dreams about floods at one point a while back, and connected them with out of control emotions and events (fear of getting caught up in the current.) Were you worried about protecting your house?
Well, Dreamblogger, it was not my house. It was that nobleman's. I have no clue as to who he was either or what was I doing there with him in his house.
