When did you give up trying to make the world a better place?

I just take breaks.

 

I gave up trying to make the world a better place and instead I try to decorate my own little corner of the world.

 

I think long term, a lot of people get the type of life they deserve.
If they choose to be stupid, twats or snide bellends, their life is gonna get a bit shit sooner or later.

Some people, their life is shit thro no fault of their own. I'll help some/lots of them but I dont think there's any point in trying to solve everything on your own.

So no, I havent given up.

 

If you decorate it nice you still made the world a better place from my point of view

 

the best thing we can do is to stop trashing the place. something we are actually capable of, though too few ever seem to understand the value of doing so.

 

I haven't. I won't. All the people who have are the world's biggest problem. But I don't do a fraction of what I should.

 

Yes! If only people would not give in to their apathy. We don't have to shoot for the stars. Just don't be a part of the problem.

 

What are some things that would make the world a better place?

I do what I can, even if it's just little things but there's not much I can do. The world is a piece of shit because too many rotten people made it that way.

 

The world is quite diverse but sometimes it just appears to be a piece of shit indeed.

I have no plan to give up fighting human scum like the OP. The problem isn't the few bad guys at the top, it's the scum who enable them.

 

I stopped dreaming of a better world in November of 2008 when my dreams were finally realized after the election of the first african american president . I’ve never been happier or prouder to be an american (6 years in the air force notwithstanding) now that we’re in charge of the shit. :2thumbsup:

You don't necessarily have to give up anything to make the world a better place, just - respect the environment and people, recycle your shit, don't flytip, stop buying processed refined shit, buy clothes from companies that have pledged to clean up their act as regards manufacturing, and so on!
None of this stuff costs anything. Get your mind round how you can better the world that we all have to live in!

 

Hardly . I think it's time someone besides whitie runs this shit (I voted for him in 2008 and celebrated wildly on election night.. I didn't vote for him in 2012)but we are far from being the greatest country on earth.

I can in no way profess to know enough to make the world a better place. I shall continue to gather knowledge and when I figure it out I'll do something.
