Hey all... Sorry, this one has been bugging me for months.. Over the last while I've heard of people on this site getting drug tests at work. Is this common in the USA? Up here - I have never in my life heard of anyone getting tested for anything... as a matter of fact, most people really don't even hide it... of course no one would come to work high, (well, almost no one)... Anyhow, is it an American thing? how could people put up with that? peace Soc
Depends on what job you have and the policy of your company. I've never been tested at work, you are more likely to be tested when you first start a new job. Companies know a lot of people smoke weed and as long as you do your job properly why should they be bothered. If your in charge of dangerous machinery or driving a public vehicle testing may be required. Its still uncommon though and be easily cheated.
