According to Druidry there are four forces: persuasion, uncertainty, charm and bloody-ness. Persuasion is what makes the moon come out, uncertainty prevents it from running away from us. Charm get's trees to come out the soil and they decide to stay firmly where they are because of bloody ness. There is also a thing called culture shock. This can be summed up by imagining that you have spent millenia to create a computer out of rock that will tell you exactly when the sun will rise, set. The moon rising and setting, and all the stars. Then someone comes along with a book that has all that there already including little chatty notes like "Today is a good day to plant runner beans." Another thing about culture shock is that you do not give it to someone who is flying a thousand tonne rock. Blessings Sebbi
Good point It's funny how we've spent hundred of years searching and learning for a better way. Only to find the 'better way' was where we started. A circle of sorts.
They also sacrificed animal to their Gods then offered the blood for the Gods to bless. Then they ate the sacred meat. So happy I was born Pagan. Le Vecchie Maniere
My husband is very interested in Druids. He was raised Protestant Irish, and when we started dating and found out I was Wiccan, he got really into it, and I think that Druidry spoke to him a bit more, I suppose in a way it being a more 'masculine' (of sorts) spirituality.
This is a very interesting thread seeing as i have been a Druid for 20 years, and is a spiritual path that honours the ancestors and the spirits of nature and celebrates individuality and creativity. And in todays world the earth and outside forces are colliding ever quicker, causing a need for positive change and Druidism has the compononts needed for it. Anyone truley interested should delve into it and check out the basics of it. AWEN
