I'm sorry, but I'm so against it. A friend of mine got an OUI a few months ago and is fighting it thinking he can win it. I hope he doesn't and that they throw him in jail. He smashed into another car with an old woman in it (the car was parked on the side of the road) and he hit about 7 more parked cars along the street. There could have been a child on a bicycle on the side of the road or something... What are your opinions on it? I think its so much easier to call a cab or a sober friend than to drive. I don't drink much at all and all my friends know to call me at any time...I don't understand why they don't when they know they can't drive...
Yeah, drunk driving is never okay. Driving under the influence of pretty much any substance is dangerous to yourself and others, and should be avoided.
Drinking while intoxicated shouldn't even really be debated. It's so wrong to endanger the lives of others with our own actions. No one has the right to do that, except doctors I suppose, in a sense. So many people die so needlessly because of drunk drivers, it's despicable. There's so many options to getting home at the end of a night of drinking, smoking, injecting, etc...
My daughter lost her licence for seven years because of it. And rightfully so. I KNOW she learned her lesson.
i drink while drunk quite often. but seriously, there must be people who are pro-drinking and driving, since so many people do it.
i'm pro OUI if and when it only takes the person who is driving out of this life such a stupid decision needs to be met with the harshest of penalties
they get off on technicalities all the time. there are so many business around here like 'x-copper' that specialize in getting people off of DUI charges for stupid reasons - if the cop makes one tiny mistake on the paperwork or something, it's thrown out. total bullshit.
yeah i got a dui last year, i crashed drifting over a curb with four of my friends in the car. Guess I was selfish and was trying to show off or something I guess im lucky nobody got hurt either.
I use to do it. It was reckless and not a good decision on my part. I haven't done it in over 3 years. I had to wake my ass up at 730 this morning to retrieve my car, as I called a cab to take me home last night. $30 cab ride is nothing compared to a DUI. I know a lot of people who justify it with whatever excuses. Idiots.
This kid who got busted is FOR drunk driving. His exact post on facebook this morn was "to all my friends that like to drink, DO NOT take the breathalyzer...it screws you big time. Just take the 6 months without a license" and when I commented on it, he went ape shit saying he always does this and its no big deal. He hit a parked car with a woman in it! That;s a big deal! He blew a .19 I guess...
OH yeah, I forgot.. I can't believe. I knew this bartender who KILLED HER DAUGHTER drinkin drivin. and still got off. still allowed to drive still tends bar and still D&Ds
The only people for drunk driving are the ones who want to drive home drunk when they aren't exactly thinking clearly. Not that being drunk is an exuse, but when they have to pay thousands of dollars and are marked with a DUI on their permanent driving records they tend to sober up quick and they should.
Did you ask him if he was for drunk driving? I im betting that if you do, his answer will be "no". you're right they aren't thinking clearly
When my dad got his second DUI, he got a lawyer that was trying to do that. He paid some outrageous amount for the DVD of when he got booked and questioned and his lawyer sat there and went over it a million times just trying to pick out the smallest error. I even told my dad he deserved jail time...2 DUIs in 7 years tells you someone has a problem...
honestly drinking and driving is a horrible decision that can be easily avoided. it's like if you were a cop, and you pulled over a car full of kids from a party, and all of them were drunk except the driver, wouldn't you congratulate them on being smart for a change?
