I tried salt water for a change and my mum saw an immediet difference! Can you put i into a spray bottle and use it.
It's OK to spray it on, but it's best if you soak your hair (I put about a half cup of salt into my sink and fill the sink up with hot water) and then rinse it out... Rinsing it out means you won't get salt everywhere, but it still serves the same purpose.
I actually began the dreading process with my hair over two years ago by soaking my hair in salt water and rinsing it out. (If I lived near the ocean I would just go take a swim everyday at the beach...but when you live in the Midwest, it doesn't work so well.) It dries your hair out enough to start the knotting process faster....and by rinsing it it will prevent hair from completely breaking.
Right on, if im lucky I'll get to go back to the carribean this year and soak my locks in beautiful torqoise water.
I wouldn't even DARE do that, if you live on the coast in the country, yeah.... But not really in the Firth of forth...
I did it once a week or once everyother week...just make sure you don't do it too much or else your hair will dry and break...
I added a little bit of lemon juice to my salty dready concoction. That worked really well too. I rinsed that out after about twenty minutes or so. Peace and love
hippy chick thats good just be aware that lemmon juice works alot like peroxideand reacts with heat or sunlight to lighten your hair
Salt water can clog up a squirt bottle if you let it sit in there too long...also, make sure you still rinse your hair with regular water.
good tips guys im gonna use the salt water one and the lemon juice for lightening my hair!...kool cheers
I'm going on a field trip to FL to the beach this week. I can't wait to go just so I can get my hair wet in the salty water since there are no beaches in IN. Hopefully my locks will keep on doing their thing with a little encouragement from the salt water! Peace and love
