I'm gonna try writing a little intro part. do you read tabs? e------------3--3--3--3---------------0--0--0--0---| B------------0--0--0--0---------------1--1--1--1---| G------------0--0--0--0---------------0--0--0--0---| D-------0----0--0--0--0---------0-----2--2--2--2---| x2 A--0h2-------2--2--2--2----0h2----3--3--3--3--3---| E---------3--3--3--3--3-----------------------------| e----------2--2--2-----------0--0--0------------0--0--0----------3--0--0--| B----------3--3--3-----------2--2--2------------1--1--1----------0--0--0--| G----------2--2--2-----------2--2--2------------0--0--0----------0--2--2--| D-------0--0--0--0-----------2--2--2------------2--2--2----------0--2--2--| A--0h2--------------0h2--0--0--0--0--0h2--3--3--3--3--0h2----2--2--2--| E-----------------------------------------------------------------3--3--3--3--| their play then and then go into the lyrics, sounds pretty good
Nice man. Yea thats pretty good. I actually have this little riff I came up with a while ago and I've been saving it for something, hold on I'll upload it and you can hear it. I think we'll end up using your riff but hey, I might as well show you mine. Ill post the link when its uploaded and if you like it I'll tab it.
that sound sbetter for a beginning actuallt, I just need to add a little thng at the end to make it flow into the verse better, I need tabs tho
e-------------------0-----------------0---------------0------------0---------------0-- B-------------0-----------------0---------------0-------------0--------------0-------- G------4------------------/6--------------4---------------2------------1-------------- D-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ E--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Repeat that for however many times we want and then on the last time add e-------------0--- B---------0-------- G----0-------------- And yea I knew we'd have to make it flow better into the verse, I mean obviously I didn't have this song in mind when I wrote it. So yea do whatever you need to it.
You realize a 40 year old man and two 14yr olds just wrote a song. BTW after listening to your intro idea I listened to your Reeling in the Years intro. So I had to put in a Steely Dan CD to listen to.
Haha yea Steely Dan is awesome. I'm actually working on completing Reelin in the Years but its a helluva song to cover.
I love Black Friday. btw I' gonna attempt to write this whole thing out e-------------------0-----------------0---------------0------------0---------------0--- B-------------0-----------------0---------------0-------------0--------------0--------- G------4------------------/6--------------4---------------2------------1--------------- D---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- play this 4 times, and on fourth one do this let thing I made e-------------------0--------------------------------------------------------------------- B-------------0----------------------3-------------------------------------------------- G------0-----------------------2----------------------0-------------0-----------0------ D-------------------------0----------------------2-------------0-----------0------------- A------------------------------------------3--------------2-----------0------------------- E----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3-- than a second guitar. Tried to make it one, but it sounds beter like this trums on G, without singing, as the first guitarist, does this e------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ B----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A---0----0----0--2------------2----------------------------------------------------------- E------3----3------------0h3-----3---0h2h3--3------------------------------------------- Then the first Verse why the war C why the pain G why the solders C who die in vain D where's the peace A where's the love C where's the vision G of the Woodstock dove during that, first guita just does a power chord for each chord (when the second guitar, switches to C, The First guitar plays the C Power chord once, when he switches to G, The first guitar plays G power chord etc. Here The second Guitar plays this as first guitar goes into Chorus ...Dove ------------I've Got A feeling ------It Isn't Over ------We'll see peace -----Before... -------G-----------2--------------------------------------------------------------------7-| -------D--5---4---2-------------------5----2--------------4---5-----------------------7-| -------A--5---4---0-------------------5----2--------------4---5-----------------------5-| -------E--3---2------------------------3----0--------------2---3-------------------------| do that twice G where is Janis C where's The Band G who's gonna sing C 'bout sharing the land D who's gonna sing A 'bout peace and love C where's the vision G of the Woodstock dove than chorus again. Then fade out. Then second guitar starts playing the intro I wrote, then last chorus and fade out. whoo I'm tired. well that was fun.
Nice job man. I love the songwritting process....how you can start with one little verse and get a whole song. And its like you create something from nothing, something that wasnt there an hour ago.
yea hey love conquers, If youw ere to play that the first guitar part, and put it up on that site or just e-mail it to me, I could mix it with my part, on one of those music making programs
haha. Yea anyone who plays guitar can try. Play the first part, and I'll play the second part cuz I've already started recording that, I can sync them together also, anyone who wants to sing as well. Yea, put it on some website if you know one of those places, or just E-mail me at, PeaceFrog652@yahoo.com
I just recorded the intro. Up to the part where the second guitar comes in. Thats waht you were saying right? EDIT: Alright man I think you'll know which one it is, here is the link again http://zachack.dmusic.com/music/ Btw man its been really nice working with you and gshdgns. You are both excellent songwriters.
the whole second guitar part. That's just the chords and the intro part I wrote, you try the first guitar which is everything on their
Ohh ok I misread something, I thought you were indicating...well never mind. Ok so I am doing my intro....that little part you wrote....and than you did the chords. And what about that thing that you had originally planned for the intro? Am I doing that? Do you have an AIM screen name? If so than we can discuss this there which may make things easier.
