Oooh! Ooooh! I wanna join!!! *take it, take another little peice of my heart now baby...* I've been listning to that song.
Hey flowergirl....it may be a wild guess but I'd say you were into Janis Joplin . Maybe we could do a more Bluesy song for our next one.
Well if we do end up doing a Blues song, the Blues is a lot less lyrically involved for the most part so I think we should just go all out with it musically and have some fun. I mean of course we are gonna want to have some solid lyrics, but the Blues is about pouring your soul into the music.
This is a thing I wrote a while ago with Blues in mind but I never really did anything with it. I try and make myself see All the flaws in you But that’s easier said than done Cause girl I love you true No matter how hard I try I can’t get over you And it makes me wanna cry out loud Just shout it to the sky I love you baby And I will till the day I lay down and die I wasn't particularly fond of it but perhaps its salvagable.
Oh yea gshdgns, for one of the verses you wrote for Woodstock Dove: Where is Janis Where's The Band Who's gonna sing bout sharin the land I was thinking....Janis Joplin was great but she didn't really sing as much about peace and love as others. So if we wanna make it accurate we could change it to Joni (Joni Mitchel). But its your verse so....up to you.
yea good point, but even tho u she didnt sing as much about peace, she's still associated with peace, and not everyone knows Joni Mitchell
Joni works too, but I used Janis because she is a more recognizable figure, and that can help with the songs plea for the need for a revival of the spirit of peace and love that Woodstock represented. (And the social commentary in Mercedes Benz is brilliant.)
