DXM Trip Help!

Hey guys... I am pretty experienced with psychedelics ... I've done acid around 3 -4 times and DXM tripped twice. I have done DXM and used Delsym and Robo and had minimum effects when using a whole 4 oz bottle... I guess I have a high tolerance.

I just went to CVS and got

CVS Maximum Strength Tussin DM

Active Ingredients:
DXM HBr 10 mg
Guaifenesin 200mg

What should I dose if I really want to hit 3rd plat?

take the whole bottle and try to take some dramamine or benadryl because the guafenesin might make you nauseous. guaf never made me sick but it can make alot of people sick.

as long as you have some benadryl, it will get rid of any nausea. if you dont have any, just chug it down and immediately go about your business. dont even think about it.

I plan on doing it Saturday night and into Sunday Morning / Sunday.. its currently early early Saturday morning so...

 

The amount of guaifenesin you'd be taking in to get the desired affects from the DXM is way more than you should ever take at one time. Max daily guaif dose is 2.4g, you'll need a bare bones minimum of 300mg DXM to hit 3rd plateau and that's if you're sensitive and lucky, which it doesn't sound like you are. So with that you'd be taking in 6000mg or 6g guaif. Entirely too much.

Guaif is not known to be incredibly toxic, but why put your body/liver through any more stress than you need to? Get DXM ONLY syrup. Robo Max Cough should have gotten you pretty out there with 1.5-2 bottles. Delsym is DXM polistirex, an extended release form of DXM so your body processes it differently, which could account for your less than desired effects.

Even true Dextards know you should only ever consume DXM-only products, but I have a feeling you're going to do what you're gonna do anyway... good luck

 

Have you opened it yet? If not, why not just give it back and get something with only DXM?

If you think that I should not take it because of how much guaf. I would be consuming... then I will take your advice. I might just take only a little bit of it since I already opened up the bottle and have just a little 1st plat trip just to have a bit of fun.

 

I wouldn't do it if it has anything other than DXM in it which is not the case here...

 

So if I take the whole bottle of this... and take some medicine to calm my stomach... would I be risking my life..? As long as you say I won't overdose on the Guaf then I'm gonna do it ... I'm okay with it making me a bit nauseas

 

The risk is small, but you could always have an allergic reaction to it.

 

I've never done DXM before, but had a discussion about safe quantities with someone in chat the other day. The maximum amount of guailfesen you can ingest is 2400mg. Anything beyond that is overdose-worthy. (Probably anywhere after 1200mg is going to be nauseating) So, you said every pill in the bottle contains 10mg Dex and 200mg Guaifenesin. Minimum intake of Dex to induce effects is 300mg. That would be equal to 30 pills. 30 pills multiplied by 200mg Guaif is equal to 6000mg Guaif. almost 3 times maximum amount. Moral of story, not worth it.

 

However, I've done some research and it shouldn't make me overdose unless i'm allergic to it... Which i'm not.

 

I used to "robotrip" a lot last summer.. I was bored the other week and tried to do it.

I vomited as soon as the "fucked up" feeling hit me and felt shitty for pretty much the rest of the night.
