if the leaves on the bottom of the plant turn yellow is that a sign that its being over/under watered?
it depends how what stage is your plant in? in the flowering stage many of the lower leaves will turn yellow and fall off. that is perfectly normal. but if it is still in veg. you may not be giving it enough water.try using plain water for a couple days and see what happens. if you still have problems post a new comment on this thread. if you get advice from rangerdanger take it. he knows exactly what he is talking about. god made pot man made booze who do you trust?
theyre about 10-12 inches tall by now, but theyre still just growing new green leaves at the top. You said use plain water, as opposed to what? Ive just been using hose water, i assume thats what you mean. Ive been watering them at like 12 or 1 in the afternoon and my friend told me plants need to be watered early in the morning. That could be my problem.
I also should add there are two plants, one in a pot and one in the ground; the one whos leave are wilting from the bottom up is in the ground; the plant in the pot looks healthy. Its probably got to do with not watering it enough because water probably stays in the pot longer than it does in the ground surrounding the plant roots.
That is a possibility. did you start it in that spot or did you have to transplant it? what kind of soil is it in? if it was regular ground soil do you know if there might have been any fertilizers used in that soil? if you started it where it is and there isnt't any fertilizer in the soil your probably correct there isn't enough water. what you should do is read a growbook. any experienced grower will give you that as step one advice. if that is not a possibility, then go to the outdoor growing forum and list all threads by thread starter. you can do this by looking at the list of threads. on the top there will be a little link "Thread/Thread Starter" click on thread starter. page through till you find threads started by rangerdanger. there should be one called yellow leaves. it should tell you symptoms and fixes for almost every yellow leaf problem. if you cant find it let me know here and i will figure it out for you. lata man!
