I was sleeping and it woke me up, all the glass bottle above my bed were shaking and smacking each other.
It was like a 4.5 on the scale and it started somewhere near Salem Illinois, i can't quite remember the name of the city.

How many of you felt it, and where did you feel it?

I've been in one earthquake, in Southern Italy. It was in the middle of the night too, about the same strength as this one. Woke up, unable to fathom what the hell was happening. Definitely one of the most surreal experiences of my life.

it was really surreal....it did not even occur to me that it was an earthquake...it just isn't something I generally think of....

Exactly. I hadn't got a fucking clue what was going on. I guessed it may have been the mother-in-law heading down the hall towards the bathroom, but when I remembered she was a leftover from the nightmare I'd been having, I was stumped.

    what time did it happen?

i thought an obnoxiously big truck drove by at one point late last night, but it may have been a slight techtonic rumbling instead

I have very very small earthquakes at my house maybe once a month that I assume are caused by the asphalt plant next door. and there was one this afternoon, coincidence?

There has been a massive earthquake swarm off the coast of Oregon, but most of them couldn't be felt onshore.

There have been quite a few around Mt. Hood this week... then again, it is a volcano.

Anyone else made the connection with the earth acting funny and some relegious mexicans thinking Barak O'bama being the antichrist.
