Just sayin' I was falling asleep and I didn't want to give up reading the internet yet, so I thought I'll go get that bag of Lucky Charms-type cereal and eat some of it. That'll keep me awake! I proceeded to munch on the dry cereal. I kept nodding but kept sticking my hand in the bag and eating. I woke myself up because I was biting on the clothes pin that I use to clip the bag shut. I had laid it on the desk and picked it up instead of a pinch of the dry cereal. Damn! Okay, ha ha kind of funny....just keep eating the cereal and reading HFs... Next, I wake myself up because there is some terrible taste in my mouth. I put my hand to my mouth and start pulling out loose tobacco! Yep, that time I went for a big pinch of the loose tobacco from the rolling tray in front of me...Yuck! That's really fucked up....go wash your mouth out! By the time I had to rinse my mouth out about 5 times to spit out all the loose tobacco, I was awake. I put the cereal away and now I'm going out to smoke a cigarette. I hope I stay awake and don't do anything crazy out there...
This is funny! All eating late at night has done for me is add pounds to my ass I can't manage to get off while awake in the day. an old fact (of mine): Cigarettes will only put you to sleep when you smoke them in the bed (or on a sofa) so that you can make cig burn holes to wake up to.
Before my grandson moved in, I used to smoke inside. I have more than a couple of burns in the carpet around the desk from late night internet...
The nutritionist that "the estranged one" had to see for his diabetes told him that it did not matter what time of day or night you ate. I don't eat anything heavy for a while before laying down though.
Well, I'm going to take this opportunity to tell you that I admire that! (I'm being serious, too.) Eating late has become a thing I try very hard not to do...and it has also become almost impossible for me not to do. Also, I really respect all of the will-power you must have to maintain your good eating habits, exercising, etc. Now...where is that yogurt...
the one thing that keeps me awake (and not saying this is a good thing) more than anything else (that's not substance related) is the computer. then, if I had been tired before, i'm now wide awake while online.. til I sign off n sleepy again..
like most things in real life, the function is statistical. there will always be anecdotal exceptions.
Haha, clothes pin is the winner. But, Aeri, how can you sleep and eat at the same time? You must have some kind of super skills.
