    We must increase economic progress!!!
    We must advance technologically!!!

    Work, Work, Work!!!
    Research, Research, Research!!!

    Progress, Progress, Progress!!!
    Advance, Advance, Advance!!!

    TOWARDS WHAT I ASK???????????????????????????????????????

CAN"T THESE "PROGRESSORS" AND "ADVANCES" REALIZE THAT THE ONLY THING THEY ARE ADVANCING AND PROGRESSING TOWARDS IS THE END!!!!!!

    Your thoughts please.

    Peace.

All in the name of the almighty dollar. We as humans are a menace to ourselves and everything we touch.

the new version of nirvana is eternal leisure...

progress is the engine that allows the corporatized method for building passive income thgough a stock market which allows for not needing to work (ok) -- and not having to have a personal connection to the business that would allow for this in generations past (to me, bad)

Which is interesting, since our leisure time has actually decreased as a result of all this. These days most people work 8+ hours a day, whereas during ancient times the average was supposedly closer to 2-3 hours a day (enough to take care of the essentials; after that, your time was yours). The miracle of progress! Sigh.

of course we are progressing towards the end. The end is the end no matter what we do. Sure it might come a bit earlier than we think, but even without progress we as a people are progress towards the end by simply getting closer to it.
