well look at the people that do, and the people that dont. obviously there is a difference in attitude and many things. however i dont think its that bad, if at all. in no way is it even close to being as bad as alcohol or ciggerets. id say dont become obsessed and youll be fine. All things in moderation, and youll be happy and healthy

Pot does not make you smarter or more dumb, but i would say that it does have a significant effect on ones motivation, So kids that smoke weed a lot in high school are probably going to do worse than ones that don't.

^^Thats all depending on the individual. I'm assuming that it has very little effect because there is many successful adults out there and i'm sure a lot of them smoked pot at our age and were successful.

    Correlation/Causation, it's a bitch.
fer instance, some people point to statistics that say that kids who smoke pot every day go on to break the law in other ways (studies done in the US of course).
Now, it makes sense to assume that someone who has a real problem breaking the law wouldn't smoke pot (cause it's against the law), whereas a person who is not so inlcinded wouldn't have a problem at all. If these studies were done in a country that tolerated/legalized smoking the facts could be completely different.
It's kindof the same situation, kids who aren't motivated/not that bright to begin with are probably statistically more likely to smoke MJ. Now, i'm not saying that it's harmless (nothing is), but it's hard to prove that smoking pot causes XYZ to happen...

for me, when I started smoking heavily, it affected me for the worse. Not like health-wise or anything, but my motivation to keep up with school plummeted. I just didn't give a shit anymore about school, so, I dropped out and got my GED.
Oh, and it's officially 420 in my time zone now. HAPPY 420 :)

A Study done in the Netherlands shows that using marijuan as an adolescent can possibly effect the growth of the emotional centre in your brain, which means that the adolescent will in later aprt of his life, his emotions aren't as full grown as someone who hasn't smoked a lot of it. It can also lead to a more distant look at ones own life.

It more like makes you see high school actually DOESNT matter, and that pressure is something we dont need. highschool is a waste of time, whether college is is a different matter though. you wont get side tracked unless you let yourself, i mean bud does so little to you.

marijuana is a drug and effects the way people think. it can make it easier to not bother about work. some people have enough will power/ self discipline to maintain the work.

there is an effect from weed but the important factor is then whether this effect is countered or reinforced by lifestyle
