Im a bit confused of the subject,
but i think i may have experienced it, but im very confused.

me and a friend took 5 grams of some potent shrooms my friend grew, about 3 hours in i was tripin. my friend completely forgot who he was he was layin on my bed repeating "Im so confused, im broken, who am I, why doesnt any thing make sence for about 30 min and suddenly he stood up and started to remember everything but would soon forget again. but around that time i stood up from my chair and went to fall on the bed, the second i hit the bed my vision went really crazy, i dont really remember much but i remember alot of orange and spinning and just all kaleidoscope affect. this seemed like mearly seconds to me but my trip mate said he slightly remembers me just laying on the bed zoned out for about 5-10 min hes not to sure very time distored. Then after that i dont remember very much more then i would come back and remember i would just take a huge breath laying on my bed and my roomate too then forgeting the hallucinations i was having then i would come back and take a huge breath again and remember that part.

did we both expereince it or just him and i just had the strongest hallucination ever?

i often get confused on psychedelics but usually just a level where i can pull my self out after a min but the get lost again is this common? i have tripped multiple times on shooms but this was the most intense ever more intense then when i took 8 grams

It sounds to me like you had an intense trip, but that doesn't really sound like ego death. After you experience ego death, there isn't much question as to whether or not it happened. At least for me it's been pretty clear that it has happened (not at the time of the experience obviously).

Maybe do a bit more reading on ego death. Wiki is a good place to start.

It's not just tripping super hard or having intense hallucinations, it has to do with your perception of your existence or lack there of. In ego death there is no you to know that you're experiencing ego death. There's no you to be hurt, happy, sad, scared, or anything. There's an omnipresence that you are a part of and all of at the same time. It is quite difficult to describe and I don't feel that I can do the experience justice. I suggest you seek out further information on the interwebs.
