    wow
    wow
    wow.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    it was so damn clear,
    pins and needles all over my face, all down my arms, tingle tingle hands
    release release release, thank God!
    we're all so truly One~
    but now, after it all, i still wrestle a heavy heavy heart, and throw my self on the bottom, always. madness in the city, maddness~~~
    struggling for a seemless life in Love, struggling with weaving too freely, there aint no peace here, just a desire for Love. and with that desire, remains an ego.
    to sense a vibration
    means nothing.
    to not throw them
    is peace.
    to let go, and find that peace
    is something.
    to lose it
    is living.
    congrats.
    you've learned the first universal lesson of psychedelics.
    when the sense of self is dissolved, you realize that we are all interconnected...unconditional love for humanity usually follows, if not despair.
    thanks.
    I favor psychedelics over all exogenous psychoactive substances (except chocolate), and feel as McKenna did: these agents have the potential to revive an archetypal reawakening, a sort of renaissance....reprogramming the neural networks that have been enslaved by capitalism, dominance by the powers that be, and pop culture.
    it's sort of a utopian ideal, but a somewhat credible theory.
    oo lord, i already had those monastary thoughts =P when i came back from the farm, a few weeks after, me and a friend went to go see King Kong the movie-. 2 minutes into i had one of my schitzoid moments, encouraging me to close my eyes and let go. i sat there in that movie theatre meditating the entire movie; the words i heard coming from the movie here and there seemed to guide my meditation almost perfectly, and somewhere in there, they talked about a monastary out in asia. after the movie, i felt so alive, and was completely hellbend on goin to a monastary [IMG]. i mean like 'ALRIGHT, NOW it's time to go~~'
    i told dad the next morning, (remember, after me running away to stay with you guys for that month =P), and he said 'ETHAN~~!!!, you've straight gone crazy!!'
    =P.
    but i think that advice on 'have fun thinking about it but dont runoff and follow these whims' is GOOOD, for me especially =P thanks dilli =)
    behh, right now though, 2 days after the trip, i feel very drained - energyless. i can't help but feel that the lsd, regardless what it showed me, really chipped away at my soul too~ or is this just the day afters feelings? ehh, maybe just paranoia that lsd is manufactured to effect a once sober spirituality in a bad, inhibiting way. hopefully that's just nonsense, and in a day or two i'll be back to my old insanity games =P
    hill and dilli, i love you guys [IMG]
    what you're feeling is the aftermath from the surge of neurotransmitters and hormones LSD potentiates; it's normal to feel that way, every good feeling (from a substance) comes with a price, but integrate what you've pondered while on your trip, into your train of thought, and evaluate...that's the main focus of the psychedelic experience, i think.
    there's no "good or bad" aspect to LSD, per se, that's just what you subjectively perceive; when you become a 'guru' , you master acceptance...the essence of zen.
    bahhh~ after walking around the house for 30 minutes, i realized i feel all drained and lumpy cuz i just woke up after catching up on about 30+ hours no sleep =P s'all is well =)
    i'm definitely going to be feeling through all my memories of the trip =)
    a lot of what i learned on that trip, too, was acceptance - fiddlin with seemless stream of experience. and so far this morning, while walking around after your post, this is still as exerciseable as i have the concentration to exercise it. definitely gunna keep at it =)
    thanks for all the great posts guys =))
    meditation is by far better then any dope trip... and i dont trust psychedelics anymore, they shake our spirits, they bring them to new heights, but a substance like this, that affects our spirits in such ways is bound to have negative impacts on it...
    Meditation is the natural way in all of us to access peace of mind, and enlightenment.
    drugs is the way to negatively contact our self and our spirit. like fast-food is the negative way for the obese to get some energy for his physical body
    I don't know how you figure that psychedelics are a negative way to contact our spirits, being that meditation evokes the brain's psychedelic compounds in the form of n-acetyl-serotonin metabolites (known psychedelic body fluids), which are strikingly similar to psilocin and DMT <--- these compounds are by no means negative, it's only what you perceive to be negative. Millenia of native tribe rituals have employed psychedelic compounds to catalyze human advances in art, architecture, astronomy, mathematics, the concept of time, and human spirituality.
    psychedelics are merely tools, not euphoriants, to evoke an introspective view of the internal divine, and its connection to the external.
    and "better" is such a relative term; both methods can, for all practical purposes, take you to the same place (though meditation on psychedelics will take you even further than possible than on just meditation alone)
    well im saying this via personal experiences, so at least for me thats what ive learned... correct me if im wrong though. But something ive learned with psychedelics (dont get me wrong there. the first shroom trip ive had really opened me up... but that was enough, i shouldve gone naturally from there)
    But meditation ... the afterglow is always good, enhances your mood, and that is what counts for me in life... being happy to live, but still have a good understanding of the universe and an expanded awareness.
    And besides, "neuroscientists discovered that certain areas of the brain light up constantly in Buddhists, which indicates positive emotions and good mood. "
    "We can now hypothesize with some confidence that those apparently happy, calm Buddhist souls one regularly comes across in places such as Dharamsala, India, really are happy," Professor Owen Flanagan, of Duke University in North Carolina, said. Dharamsala is the home base of exiled Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama.
    and from what ive experienced with psychedelics (naturals), especially shrooms, amanitas and sinicuichi... the afterglow is never a good mood for me, nor a willing to live, nor a willing to go on... but more of a lack of energy, worries... more "out of reality"...
    And i also doubt that the bad trip ive had once on 5g of shrooms, where i was stuck in my bed, not allowed to escape from it, not recognizing my own body, not knowing where or how i exist... ripped a necklace off my neck, voluntarily hurt myself...and my sister came inside crying, amazed at how psychedelics can fuck up a person (shes done speed and stuff like that, but never psychedelics). but i didnt know she was my sister... If that was enlightnement, like psychonauts believe, if all those bad emotions, were clicked by an angel, and opened my spirit... well i guess that didnt really help me to find peace of mind huh?
    yer 16 sittin here professing what you believe to be true,, from your limited experiance..
    what you choose to believe is your choice..
    just remember,, when one chooses to dissagree that is there choice also..
    ya i know i completely agree. ive been there, really down to believeing psychedelics were really the best way. that they did me real good, but there are a lot of negative things that happened to me because of em...
    I dont dislike anyone who chooses to do them, just wanna spread some light on how, my opinion, is that ... i find my life to be better and still mysterious without the dope, and with the power of my own mind that i already posess.
    but ... everyone is different, everyone has different goals... i was just talking about this, the way i perceive it... but if drugs do you good, there is absolutely no problem. the world is meant for this anyways. if you find peace of mind via psychedelics. then, beautiful!
    yeah, I hear ya, stebo; to each his/her own.
    the psychedelic experience surfaces inner thoughts, both good and bad, while meditation simply relaxes the mind. A trip excersizes it (though you can certainly meditate on one, which is quite blissful).
    and buddhism rules
    many acid gurus and psychonauts tend to relate to zen buddhism and turn to meditation anyway, when the novelty of tripping wears off.
    oh, and just so you know, the word "dope" actually refers to heroin (though some have called marijuana by that name); it's a narcotic reference.
    hehe yea. ive read a story though once, about Leary testing LSD on a buddhist, and at the peak, the buddhist said: "Meditation is better"
