Hey yal, havent posted in awhile and I haven't really done anything with my dreads at all. Before today that is. I was sitting in my room looking through my junk drawer and i found assorted lengths of electrical wire i havent seen in years, for some reason i just put one in my hair and found out they make excellent wraps. They hold all the hair in, they are easy to form, they dont soak any water like clothes, they can easily be poked through dreads for securing and they dont come undone unless you want them to. The only downside is that if you don't have them secured properly they can poke....but not a lot. But the reason I'm writing is that I was wondering if there are negatives that I don't know about using the wire. Thanks everyone
nah... just that it'll turn green and may stain your hair green if you keep it on for too long (copper). But short-term I doubt it's a problem. oh wait, unless it's insulated or whatever by rubber... than no problem at all. Just don't hang out in high places during electrical storms
lol yeah its coated wire, id never do straight copper up there ewwie. but i dont have pictures yet and i may work on them tonight, not the coolest looking but it gets the job done and its colorful
