It seemed like all he ever did was chase ladies, eat too much, abuse drugs and cause problems but that's not true. He was a very nice man. Read about him.
Yeah I guess. His music did influence the likes of The Beatles and Bob Dylan. I even read that while at F.S.U. Jim Morrison used to play his music really loud. Yeah, he (partially) founded and revolutionized early rock n roll. But to me, he represented a rascist, overly-patriotic "southern man". Plus, didn't the dude die cause he ate like 50 pain pills at once? But yeah, he made a great contribution to contemporary music, and I don't think that anyone that didn't know him personally could really say weather he was nice or not.

Poeple get the impression that becuase a White man lives in the South and speaks with a deep Southern Drawl that he's a red neck or a cracker but that's not true. Even if he was a red-neck, that doesn't mean he was all bad. Some of the nicest people are red necks. Some people just use it for Southern white guy.
