Wow... what an amazing band I just discovered! Their music makes me feel like I'm lying down in a mystical forest in Ireland, or something like that. It's so beautiful... Anybody likes them, here?

Their S/T album was my favourite of 2004, stunning I thought,
they have release of covers coming out soon. I also really like Meg Baird's work with her sister Laura

though not early 70's psych folk inspired material like Espers but more traditional Appalachian folk ballad-based stuff.

Esper's frontman Greg Weeks' solo stuff is worth checking out too

no worries Penny, I'm totally in love with this kind of music, I could talk about it all day :D

I'd also say if you are interested in exploring the roots of very similar music to Espers then an indispensible set of CDRs to get hold of is the Lammas Night Laments CDR series that is available from
    http://www.theunbrokencircle.co.uk/index_light.html
this is a fan compiled series (by the chap Mark who runs the website) put together from late 60's to late 70's psych folk and features many artists like Vashti Bunyan, Linda Perhacs, Stone Angel, Bread Love and Dreams, etc etc. that are a direct influence on Espers and other contemporary psych folk acts.
This is the very best overview of classic psychedelic folk available at the moment, there's 13 CDRs now and number 14 is on its way, volumes 1, 4, and 6 are my absolute favourites of the series.
Also for an amazing overview of new psych/wyrd folk I'd also recommend checking out the new wyrd folk audio galleries on the same site. Be warned though it's very easy to spend hours on this website :D
