Theres no way giving everyone 600$ will fix the economy, it might put some make-up on it so it looks good for a minute, but after that its going to wear off.

In canada we've done this sort of stuff, exept the money went to families so they could pay for their kids hockey lol.

ok lets be honest.. we are getting 600 dollars worth of worthless promissory notes..

a dollar bill is worth 4 cents.. so for all of us to get our 24 dollars masquerading as 600, our federal government will owe the federal reserve a 100 billion "real dollars"...

gotta give them bankers credit.. they will have us all in the poor house before ya know it..

    i really pitty my grandchildren..

600 worthless pieces of paper.. is it really worth it??

Love how they used that to disguise this...another break for big buisness, especially exxon mobil:
and the package also includes close to $50 billion in business tax cuts.

The principal players in pulling the deal together were Pelosi, House Republican leader John Boehner and Paulson. The package would allow businesses to immediately write off 50 percent of purchases of plants and other capital equipment and permit small businesses to write off additional purchases of equipment

If we qualify, and we won't if they count Andy's SRB because then we make too much we will mostlikely be using the money for our honeymoon this summer, which has a good chance of being over seas-in mexico or the bahamas-since Hawaii may be a no go because the dollar is so freaking worthless we could do 4 days in Hawaii at a 4 star and for the same price we could do 2 weeks in Cancun at a 5 star resort.

you say that like its a bad thing...

i really dont see where giving them there money back, money that is rightfully theres and was taken illegally is a issue.. i wish they would give me every penny of mine back as well...

however, they shouldnt be forcing them to make purchases to get money back that is rightfully theres no way..

    its just wrong...

I'm all for small buisnesses, but this doesn't really seem to be targeting small buisness since big buisness will get the same break. They'll all still be on the same playing field.

I would like mine back as well, especially all that California State tax I paid to support shitty freeways, over building and illegal workers and their children. I would rather pay 2 dollars for a tomato because someone who came into this country legally was being paid a livable wage.

The SBIR grant program used to be for small businesses many years ago. Now companies like Lockheed and Boeing start up little subsidiaries and get the SBIR money.

US economic downturn affects us too, genius. we do live beside them, they are our primary trade partner, and a lot of tourism is exchanged between our countries... no we wont experience it to the same extent but its still not great
