Okay, i am a male, 17 years old, im pretty tall and skinny, 6"2 130lbs, and dont have much (or any) body muscle.. But, i have realize.. i have extremely HUGE hips.. like i've googled this, and ive seen other males complain about them having huge hips, but i honestly dont think anybody has any THIS huge.. mine are probably larger than most females.. I was woundering, why?! am i the only one..? How can i "fix" this..? this is just totally destroying any confidence i had left... i cant even go to a pool or beach, because i never want to take my shirt off because of this.. im one of those guys you see on a beach on a hot day, with a shirt on... Because of this.. Help me Heres some pictures so you can see how bad it is...
fatten up dude. i got some wide hips too, and i think its because when i'm standing up after a while, i'll lean on one side/hip. an observation i've made with other guys like me. maybe the cause and effect are actually vice versa.
Hey, I got the same thing! I hate it... I really do... I think surgery may be the only option because it's bone related.
You look fine shamiquah seriously don't worry about it. If it makes you feel better, I have beauty marks all over my body.
i stand like that and i have bigger hips. not massive hips, just slightly more feminine looking - women comment on them now and again. i figured it was just because of playing sport, albeit hockey - but as i have become larger over the years from sport, i still have a feminine frame. people compliment me, so no complaints - but that is an interesting observation you have made and wonder what truth there is in it.
Upper body weights? I dunno, I'd say to just run with it. My husband is really scrawny, too, and his hips do that on occasion. I think it's muscle with him, though. He's been taking lots of stairs for two years, so the lower body is really toned while the upper is lax.
Work out while eating more. It's not that you have large hips, it's that you have a small waist, from what I can see.
Just like some women have decidedly android (male) as opposed to gynecoid (female) pelvises, making vaginal birth an impossibility, the reverse can happen. You are normal, healthy, and shouldn't worry. We can't really change your given shape, but we can work about how you feel and mask it. Wear your pants at mid rise. Do some weight bearing exercise. You're not malformed, just different.
okay, well i decided t start working out, hoping this will make my hips look smaller, this is my 3rd day now, and so far, i've been doing... 300 sit ups, and 50-100 push-ups every day, anyone else recommend any other exercise?
I would actually look into building my shoulders, arms, and chest for balance. This is something really to ask a body building forum.
I don't see anything wrong with your body dude I don't feel like you should worry about "fixing" it You're a skinny guy, you're tall (the true "big boned") You could pack in calories and work out to put some meats on there, but you are ok. You have an excellent human
Well, I guess this is why they call it the HIP forums! *cricket* Anyway, I've learned that... you know there really isn't anything terribly wrong with larger hips. Perfection is a silly concept anyway. you look fit and healthy, pretty good and that's all that really matters!
It definitely doesn't look feminine. I think your hips just look big because the rest of you is so small. I would say gain some muscle and it will not be noticeable at all.
