so, my eyebrow was doomed from the beginning bcuz i let a friend who was getting her license soon "and knew wat she was doing" pierce it. first she lost the hole then almost ripped it out when she was trying to close the ring, but instead just bent it so badly i was walking around with a missing ball and fucked up ring. now its infected and i cant afford the piercing solution...will Saline clear it up by itself? are there any natural remedies i could use instead?? any info is helpful....

I'd just clean it with soap if I were you.

liquid-unscented soap and water, and saline solution. In my opinion, sea salt is best.

I would take it out and let it heal, cleaning it with sea salt and warm water.(Sea salt costs less than a dollar at a Bulk barn or any of those types of stores) Otherwise you could end up with some nasty scars. Once they get irritated they can stay that way for awhile. If you want to get it re pierced after it's healed and you have some money than go for it and get it done professionally. Don't keep an infected piercing in just because you want that piercing. You could really mess your eyebrow up in the end.

The measurements aren't extremely important. About a 1/4 TB of sea salt to a 1/2 cup of hot water should work. I don't measure when I clean mine though. Just make sure all the salt is dissolved. Than dip a Q tip in the water and dab each hole of your eyebrow and * hopefully you have a barbell in* move it up and down. Barbells make it much easier to heal and are usually used when you first get it done. If you have a ring that could also be slowing your healing process. Anyways, clean it a couple times a day and hopefully it clears up. If it doesn't get better in the next week of doing this I would def. take it out!

(i dont know if it's true cause i've never had it happen to me)
But when you take out a piercing that is infected, wont the hole cover up with the infection still inside?
i dont remember what the guy said happens, but it sounded gross aha.

I dunno, I think that's what would happen.
I think she was saying to take it out and clean it, so the actual piercing can be cleaned better.

    sorry, I misread it.
But I kind of get what she is saying.
I think it would be easier to fight the infection if there wasn't a piercing in. And it will close up, but it's better to get it clean and have it close up than try to get it healthy with the piercing in, because if you leave it like that long enough your body will eventually reject it and the piercing will migrate right out of your face. Then you are left with a pretty gnarly scar.
You can always get it repierced.

Clean it with saline, and put a drop of tea tree essential oil on it every day or so.. hurts like fuck, but there ain't no better antibacterial.

Yeah see, I think I've heard that if you take something out while it's infected, it will scar.
But I'm just completely confused about it now.
Anyways, good luck fighting infection. It can be an annoying battle. :cheers2:

thanks! it's getting better. i've been cleaning it better than i was before. but i've decided to just keep it in and i'll clean it better than to take it out and re-pierce it.

Hah i'm glad i dont have extreme infection.
what i get is, everyonce in a while it will get red around the ring and super sensitive and everything that comes with infection, but then i clean it really good and it's gone within 2 or 3 days

yea ive actually been told by piercers to never take a piercing out when infected because when it heals it has no where to drain out the fluid from the infection...so im gunna hope for the best bcuz i dont want a permanent bump from letting it heal badly.
