This kid was telling me he could get an ounce of peyote buttons for $350 from someone he knew, is this a good price on average? He's somewhat a friend of mine but he's so stupid. He was telling me how you smoke peyote and when I said I thought it was made into a tea or just eaten he laughed. Then he asked me how many times I did acid. When I said 5 he told me I wasn't experienced enough and he'd have to think about getting it for me, since peyote was a 5 day trip. When I told him I heard it was usually 10 hours he laughed again. How ignorant, first off to determines someone readiness for a drug by asking them how many times they did acid, leaving out all other psychedelic experiences and who the person is. Second off he tells me I'm not experienced enough meanwhile he knows jackshit. Also he tried telling me that schrooms is really just food poisoning. I haven't done as much as him but at least I know my shit and use it for the right intentions, not just getting high. Guess this post went off topic but some people piss me off.
Assuming a dose is 5 grams of peyote buttons, you're getting 5.6 doses. That means you're paying 62$ per dose of peyote.. I would suggest you just grab some Peruvian Torch or San Pedro for that price. Either way, it sounds like the guy is just trying to sound like he knows more than you/is better than you from here.
well i don't even know the weight of peyote buttons you would eat to trip, but $350 doesn't sound too bad (edit - see above post) but he sounds like a shitty person to buy them from, and i doubt he'll even come through. from the way you describe him, he is one of those types that can get all kinds of drugs, until someone says "yea, get me that"

An ounce of peyote fresh or dried for $350 is robbery any way you look at it. I can sit up praying all night in a native american church meeting and eat more than that for $0. Peyote is cheap or free if you are near it's source of growth and the people who protect it for its proper uses. No you cannot smoke peyote. Your friend is stupid. Its not a 5 day trip but it can be quite long. Sometimes after meetings i can still feel the residual effects of the medicine 16 hours later.

Not 100% sure, but I read a report on BL (I think it was BL) about this guy who basically went and asked to join in on a ceremony, and they allowed him to do so.
The prices of peyote this year has gone up with the peyoteros being on strike. But it's nowhere near as bad of a deal as the OP is getting. I was told: 1000 dried buttons for $300 1000 fresh buttons for $230
