http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_sleep_phase_syndrome if that's a disease I have it. it's NOT A FUCKING DISEASE fucking shit, anything that deviates from normal is a disease anymore. fucking taking credibility from real diseases.
I agree, everything is a fucking disease these days. Alcoholism, obesity, stupidity.. what ever happened to accountability?
I watched a documentary a while ago that researched people's sleep patterns. They studied what a person's sleep schedule would be if someone was not required to stay on a regular schedule of waking up at the same time every day. Some people in the study would wake up about an hour later each day. Their sleep schedule gradually drifted to the point where they were waking up at night and going to sleep in the morning. The pattern continued that way until they were once again waking up in the morning. They had the subjects in windowless rooms so that sunlight couldn't interfere with the test and were brought food to them so they wouldn't go outside and see what time it actually was. One of the researchers joked about how he had to hide the fact that no one else was around when the subject asked for lunch at about 1 am. He had to bring it in himself and made an excuse that the researcher who handled it had to step out for something. He didn't want the subject to know it was 1 am. .
Wow, I most definitely have this 'disease' I sware, I will lay in my bed until 4/5 in the morning no matter what time I lay down.
Add ADD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive compulsive, and so on and forth to that list. That shit doesn't exist. Period.
The medical community needs to come up with new things to treat every day. It's all about the money man. And control. making us think we're all fucked up.
It's almost like folks WANT to be taken control of!!! Either that, or they've got democrats for doctors, that are willing to explore ANY little "symptom" and are overjoyed to "discover" another heretofore unheard of disease/disorder. Cripes.
My 4 yr old has it... it sucks, because I am NOT a nightowl and it makes me damn irritable to try to go to sleep when the sun is coming up. I have tried every stupid method of getting her to sleep at a normal hour, but she pretty much always ends up naturally falling back into the pattern of going to sleep some time between 3 and 6 am. and if she is on any sort of normal (early to bed early to rise) sleep cycle she is an impossible to deal with grump. grr. It sucks, and its weird some people have different internal clocks- but i agree- that is not a disease.
They were really going nuts with that one a few years ago, right after the toenail fungus campaign that went on for a couple years. One of my friends had a sleep study done and that was the first thing they prescribed for her. How about 'restless get someone to buy a drug' syndrome. .
restless leg syndrome is real... i have it and it ain't fun... feels like your legs just wanna go for a run even though you are damn tired.
