No info yet at http://www.hookahville.com, but Hayseed Dixie is listed for hookahville at http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall.pl?By=Venue&Content=BOHKIFR&PSKey=Y&Date=09/03/04.

Always seems to be a reliable source, and hopefully more bands will be announced soon. I recommend this weekend (9/3-9/5) to anybody who can make it to ohio. They always have top acts, including Ekoostik Hookah themselves 2 nights, and it's become an ohiogrown institution. Can't wait to catch Hayseed as I've heard many great things about them.

    Peace

but i hope hayseed dixie doesnt show up.

i saw em at the weakest festie i ever been to, and they were the headliners.
there was no nuggets, only midis. no doses, no boomers. and im not tryna say that's what made it bad. it was all the mediocre "JamGrass" i had to put up with.
    but that's another topic.

lets just say i only heard 2 of Hayseed Dixie's songs, one was called "keepin your poop in a jar" and the other was a cover of ACDC's "Big Balls" which is a good song, but they jammed it out to a point where they were just chanting "WE WANT BALLS! WE WANT BALLS! BALLS! BALLS! BALLS!" and i looked to my friend and said, "no thank you, i want nothing to do with this BallFest."

AHHH!! I've heard that song....we've got a CD here with all kinds of really horrible cover songs on it and the only original tune on it was the "poop in a jar" song. We had no idea who it was by, but it was fucking weird. That song is sorta scary, cuz you know someone out there has actually done that shit. Ewwww. Thank you for putting a name to that band....I'll be sure to steer clear of anything with these disturbing "hayseed dixie" froots.

Wow. That's a good review for hearing two songs and being pissed off about the drug situation. I've heard them on a few radio programs and listened to a few bootlegs of live shows. IMO, they're fairly talented and have a good time. I don't think they're a good choice to headline a festival, though. The main attraction at hookahvilles for me is of course, hookah. Any other acts are just icing.

A few additions to the lineup, according to band announcements this weekend.

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe
    Hackensaw Boys

Heard about the possibility of Dickey Betts, but unconfirmed. Supposedly a few more acts to come. I sure hope they announce a few more bands. So far this lineup seems a bit weaker than usual. Ahhh, but it's still gonna be a blast. 2 Full nights of hookah and camping with family is all I'm looking for.

I was debating on wether to go to the Hippy Hill HooDang(www.hippyhillhoodang.com) or Hookahville.
The ranch is only a 2.5 hour drive from me(Toledo). Hookahville is also cheaper and I have two friends that work backstage cooking for the bands. It looks like I'm goin back to Frontier for Hookahville #6 for me.

    phillyrp314,
Keep the updates rollin in. The website has nothing up yet. I'll see you all there my friend works at a tobaco and alchol store so we will be selling $3 cigs and $3tallboys.
    HOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ***WHO LIKES IT FUNKY?***
I mean, who doesn't?! If the Funk is your thing, be prepared to steer your

Mothership to Frontier Ranch for the Saturday line-up at Hookahville Fall

2004. The day begins Parliament-style with former Funkadelic synth-master

Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors. The afternoon will reach a fever pitch

with Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, and the roof will surely be torn off by a

gust of original New Orleans funk courtesy of The Funky Meters. Our kind

hosts ekoostik hookah will close the evening with two full sets packed with

    surprises.

Complete line-up and ticket information, as well as news on late night

bluegrass from The Old Stage, will be available at www.hookahville.com

today. We can't wait to see you there.

It's Hookahville. They play other fests during the summer, which are listed on http://www.ekoostik.com. Hookahville is their own festival which they hold on Memorial Day & Labor day weekend outside of Columbus, OH.
