is my new favorite book as of right now. ray bradbury kicks ass. Do any of you know any other things he's written that are just as good, or are they all just as good?

he didn't write many novels, he was primarily short story writer and in my opinnion, best of all. read all his collections, most popular is ''illustrated man''

fahrenheit 451 was a good book and a lousy film
i preferred the film of the illustrated man - see it alone in a dark room!

My favorite Ray Bradbury book is Somthing Wicked This Way Comes. The October Country was also good.

    BTW,
1984 was written by Orwell, not Bradbury.

1984 was written by Orwell? Shit, I thought it was Tolkien who wrote it. Thanks for the info.

Actually I can draw just as many comparisons about events that are taking place in modern day society from Fahrenheit 451 than I can from 1984. Although I believe that 1984 was the better piece of literature by far.

I had to read that book last year for my English class. While it wasn't very great, it wasn't very horrible either. It just hit the mid-grounds. :\

Someone posted something about the October Country, I think you meant the October Game. It was a short story written by Bradbury. I definitely enjoyed this one! It's so creepy! The first time I heard I saw it being performed by a forensics group...it was so good! I had goosebumps and the hair standing up on the back of my neck and everything. It is still good when I read by myself though..I would definitely recommend reading this.

Bradbury was primarily short stories which is what makes his attempt toward novels that much more impressive. 451 is a great read!
