Those wrappers from the burger and fries you got at the Fast Food place or that bag of popcorn you microwaved, maybe contributing to elevated levels of a toxic substance in your body. New research at the University of Toronto shows that perfluoroalkyls, synthetic chemicals that repel oil, grease, and water are showing up in blood tests of people who eat this type of food. These chemicals are used for surface protection in products such as carpet and clothing treatments and coating for paper and cardboard packaging.

So think twice before you order anything from a fast food joint. Are you poisoning yourself? Also stop using microwave popcorn, and buy pure popcorn and use a different container to microwave it or pop it on the stove, like in the old days...

It really pisses me off that these chemical companies continue to devise things that poison us. The chemicals mentioned here have no nutritional value at all, aren't required to process or cook the food you eat. They are simply added to packaging to prevent grease from spreading.

There are hundreds if not thousands of man-made chemicals introduced into our food supply unnecessarily. Some are to preserve the shelf-life of food so they can sit in your grocery store for months or years without decay. Again adding nothing in terms of nutrition or to the quality of food. Instead these chemicals lower our life expectancy, give us terrible diseases, and only exist because they make some huge multinational companies an extra penny here and there. And people suffer for this the rest of their lives...

And people want LESS control and regulation of companies?

You'll notice this story has not made it on MSM. God forbid they would report on something that might upset their advertisers, like Fast Food companies...

Isn't it AMAZING how the MSM can completely bury a story, in unison? Like they still get marching orders and talking points everyday like when Dick Cheney was in charge of America.

Either a story is plastered all over the MSM ad nauseum, or its completely covered up with not a single outlet reporting it.

    How is that possible?

Uh, yeah! They've been BRED to party! That's why they love 'em in the labs. The rats beg for more and more drugs!

Rat: "How many more damn times do I have to push that level before you gonna give me some more coke? Gimme, gimme, gimme more!"

there was an interesting study done on rats and alcohol, it found that their habits were roughly the same as ours - a certain number of teetotalers, a certain number of alcoholics, give them stress and they drink [and fight] more - they even had a sort of 'happy hour'

i think their brains are as much like ours as any animal i've ever known, but i have not known pigs or monkeys or . . .

maybe about 3/4 days ago. I wound up taking these plastic plates back to the store. The box labeled them "MicrowaVe safe" after placing one in the MV, I had noticed a funny plastic burning smell. Only to open the MV and see the plate melted in 4 spots, some the coloring paint inside the plate bubbled up..

I returned them: Kicker: the cashier said" maybe you shouldnt have put them in the microwave?'' no wonder they earn minimum wage..
Its the product says safe and it isnt, wtf does that have to do with how I used the product?.... then the whole invasive practice of showing ID to return BURNT plastic plates pissed me off too.. ID>??
Would you like to feel my nut sac too?.. Id known that I should of just ate the $11.00 and trashed them. But Im sick and tired of buying useless products, even more so harmful products and getting harassed when I return them....

Dyes are a big problem for me too. For some reason most paper wrappers have to be bleached white instead of being a natural brown that, you know, trees actually are (believe it or not).

I know that! gosh, I am just saying every once in awhile I dont want to have to coook every dang meal, and that there should be healthy quick options out there, for people like me. especially when I am on the road. and then I have to go home, and cancel what i am doing just to eat healthy.

I recently bought two new electric space heaters at Wallyworld. After several weeks of leaving them outside, running occasionally, I still had to bring them back due to the terrible plastic smell emanating from them (even when they were off!).

One of the heaters was a unit I'd purchased before and it was fine. But evidently they'd changed the quality of the plastic used in the casing, and the new plastic reeked of chemical smell that wouldn't go away.

So I brought both of them back and got a metal Delonghi oil filled heater that doesn't smell and saves energy (no fan!).

I can't believe the inferior materials being used by companies in China, and I worry about the poor workers who must inhale these fumes day in and day out while making these products. Then I also worry about naive consumers who buy these products and don't concern themselves with the smell - and may even put such products in their nursery for their babies....

If you can smell plastic, you are inhaling/ingesting toxic chemicals that may kill you one day!!!

BTW, the company with the shitty heaters is called Lasko. They've had numerous recalls before. If the products smells when you get it, return it! It's the only way for these companies to learn what is unacceptable in the marketplace.

Result from all those toxic chemicals is more than 11000000 US citizens with cancer in 2007, so much asthma, allergies and chemicals in the food which lead to so many other diseases- its terrible, the most deadly thing in the world is chemical industry, worse than the military in killing people.
    http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancerbasics/cancer-prevalence

Its funny the fear of terrorism which kills almost nobody compared and the media coverage this gets- the mass media are helping killing people by neglecting the problem by its importance.
