    China?

Yeah if you count the fact there were probably 250 people involved and an area the size of Scotland to play in, or is that the native American Indian version, but then we can associate the game of football to most ancient past times; or sports to sound modern.

No; lets get real, the modern game of football was born out of the UK. Eleven players per side, two teams and a pitch roughly a hectre in size, where exaclty it came from I don't know. Some say it was a northern English game and others say it was borne out of the public school institutions, but who cares.

    Come on the reds!!!!

'Sunderland AFC, the greatest team the world has ever seen, Sunnnnderrrrland, Sunderland AFC.......'; yeah sounds good when 40,000+ people are singing/chanting it.

Let's drag our knuckles along the floor behind us.

It should really be red and whites but I was going for the comic angle and wasn't really be too serious about it, its more about a reference top the relationship with Newcastle United, spit all over the floor, as they are black and white, hence the ability to say:

    Come on the reds!

Or as it needs to be now:

'Come on the red and whites'; it just hasn't got the same ring to it.
