yeah, so i was just surious as to what everyones favourite song is, i mean... you can tell a lot about someone by their musical preference... so yeah. and, why is it your favourite? gotta be some interesting stories here... my favourite song is candyman, by the dead. i love (on the studio version) the pedal steel solo... so much emotion in it. and its what we were listnin to drivin back from my first dead show... try drivin through downtown atlanta stoned... it aint fun... and this homeless guy tried to hustle us. he told us it was five bucks to park, when it was a free lot... we just parked somewhere else...
I can narrow it down to two. "4th Time Around" by Bob Dylan... I don't know what it is, the simple yet beautiful arpeggios, the semi-confusing yet very beautiful lyrics, or Bob's voice.... my favorite Bob song, thats for sure. "The Masterplan" by Oasis.. Noel Gallagher is just a genious. This is one of the best, if not the best song of the '90s, and the best song Noel ever wrote, in my opinion.
Dont Think Twice(Its All Right) by Bob Dylan. I especially like the recording at Philharmonic hall on Halloween night in 64
this is tough, so i'll just go ahead and say 2: Cowgirl In The Sand - Neil Young & Crazy Horse this song is so incredible, the fact that Neil can make a simple thing like a one note solo sound so great is amazing. I just love the jamming in it so much. Simple Twist Of Fate - Bob Dylan I think this is one the best lyrical songs ever written. Its incredible to think about how its so easy to miss the perfect love for you, then let that person go, only to realise it too late.
"Its incredible to think about how its so easy to miss the perfect love for you, then let that person go, only to realise it too late." oops that should be, How its so easy to find the perfect love for you...
here ya go... im bored, so ill post... 'Disillusioned words like bullets bark As human gods aim for their mark Made everything from toy guns that spark To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark It's easy to see without looking too far That not much Is really sacred.'
"He's Gone" - Grateful Dead. It's a very emotional song, I cant explain it. And I still manage to get goosebumps on, "Cat on a tin roof, dogs in a pile, nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile."
thats a good un... same thing happens for me with 'silver threads and golden needles'... life experience man... and that part you posted is the best part to sing...
Favourite song ever is just TOO HARD... so I won't even try. But a very honourable mention off the top of my head is "Home", by Sheryl Crow. Excellently crafted song. Very moving lyrics... and I'm not American (surely the home of the pedal steel guitar) but I'm also a huge fan of it, and the sound just fits this song perfectly.
i could never narrow down my favorite song...ever! at the moment, i must say i really enjoy the decemberists "Odalisque", its sooo good! i know its not the best ever, but its my favorite as of right now.
Morning Dew reason why? you'd have to live my life to understand why guess it doesn't matter anyway........
I know a lot of you don't like trance/electronica, but my absolute favourite song of all time is Synaesthesia by The Thrillseekers. Everytime I hear it something inside just clicks and nothing else matters. I just want to get up and dance!
i really love this song too have you heard the one from dick's picks vol. 1? i think it's my favorite, and it was the first version i heard that might have somethin to do with it.
