Fear laothing in Las Vegas

What is your favorite part in this movie​

I like the part where he took to much..hunter... or what-ever!​

I am at the end of the movie I think thats good ending ​

and then with the american flag on the back of the car​

I just can't get over how much I really like this movie ​

 

The bit when the attorney dude has taken too much acid and he's sittin in the bath tellin the reporter to drop the stereo thing into the bath then the reporter hits him with an orange thats funny as fuck lol.

I have a couple favorite scenes...

When Hunter S. and his attourney arrive at their hotel in Vegas, and Hunter is beaming out on acid. They show a man on a payphone saying things like "They just cut her damn head off right there in the parking lot", and the carpet patterns are moving and crawling up his leg. I believe the man on the telephone was "Savage Henry", but I'm not sure.

I also love the part when Hunter leaves Vegas to return to L.A. (after being pulled over by a cop) and he is shooting his gun off into nowhere in the desert. Then he calls his attourney from a payphone in a junkyard (If you watch carefully, there is smoke coming out of one of the engines of a broken down car. But if you watch even MORE carefully, you'll see that the smoke is going back INTO the engine, rather than out of it.) So the director (Terry Gilliam) used some kind of reverse playback type of thing, to make the smoke go in reverse.

Also, while they are at the circus, a man says to them, "Come and shoot the pasties off a 10-foot bull dyke", which was always a favorite scene of mine.

Last but certainly not least, the ending scene, when Hunter is driving back to L.A. for good, and is shows the sign saying "You are now Leaving Fear&Loathing". While "Jumping Jack Flash" is playing in the backround.

What a great movie.
If you like Fear & Loathing you should check out some other movies directed by Terry Gilliam. I suggest "Brazil", its one of my all-time favorites.

 

I'd have to say when the dude told his friend to drop the radio in the bathtub with White Rabbit peaks and then gets hit in the head with an orange.

I can quote so much of that movie off the top of my head, its sad. My friend and i downloaded it in my drafting class and watched it nearly ever week.

 

coolest night ever regardning fear and loathing. I went to this bar in DC that had a pretty trippy theme going on, anyway they had all these flat panel tv's and were showing fear and loathing in las vegas with subtitles-than they have this acid jazz playing in the backround and it perfectly fit the movie. Than outside they had an aneme (sp?) laser show. I wasn't high but I was drunk off my ass and it was the first time I had ever seen fear and loathing.

I like the part where he has some of that adrenalin gland or w/e, The shit that makes mescaline look like a pussy drug. and He took like half the bottle. Really blew his mind with that one. And the part with that guy who trys to make up reason why marijuana is a bad drug. I like that part and the part where the attorny took so much acid and was so fucked up from it.

 

If you like that,

you need to see Where The Buffalo Roam with Bill Murray. It's the first part of that story. I liked it much better than the latter.

 

I liked the part when they were on mescaline and they couldn't get off the revolving restaurant.

 

What is your favorite part in this movie the bar at circus circus... "do they pay you to fuck that polar bear?" hahaha loves it!!

When they get to the desk and Johnny Depp says this is my attorny, or something of the like, and they are so mangled. Dont know why that scene stuck out, but I thought it was hilarious watching them two get really messed up and have to go somewhere in public, sorta like the Cheech and Chong flicks.

I watched some of the clips and its pretty fucking funny it seems, I think I might have to rent it this weekend, it seems worth it.

 

I also like the bar at circus when Dr. gonzo is Having trouble getting off the bar that is moving...
