EDIT - I'm at version 1.5 now. Implemented a key-change and re-did the intro vocals again, as well as mixing tweaks. The key-change is AWESOME!

I'm a one-man band. Some of you may be familiar with the incomplete demos of this song I have posted.

Well, it's finally done - after a year.

I've put so much time, effort, and passion into this song. Please tell me what you think.

    I'm playing:

All guitars, bass, drums, all vocals. And I composed it, recorded it and mastered it. It's all me. Here goes. Here's the latest version - 1.5:

Last version minus the key change and tweaks and redone vocals:

You post the song at 9:48 PM and at 10:13 PM you are giving up on the site?

Anyways... The song turned out pretty good, it seems to have come together for you nicely. It sounds polished and right in line with the modern sound people are looking for. IMO :2thumbsup: (again, it's not my genera but I do know something about recording)

    Thanks.

Yeah, I got impatient. Well, I was also under the impression that this site has A LOT of traffic. Maybe it does and shit gets buried quick...

But thanks for the input. :)

Ditto what Ty said, my only critique would be the mix, especially the guitars, too smooth and creamy... (compression?)...
you've got a great raw-ish vocal, a slightly more raw guitar sound would compliment, me thinks...and don't be afraid to put the guitar more out-front here and there (on the break for instance) could use just a bit more 'drive' in the drums too, (I'm guessing it's not your primary instrument)

Otherwise tight work man, keep it up.

You're right - I have no EQ on the guitars. Why - I do not know. Will fix. Thanks.

I don't like whiny vocals (except when someone like Neil Young or the dude from the Violent Femmes manages to mix them with real emotion), so therefore I do not like the song. However, I must commend you anyways. The music is really good and well composed, it sounds polished yet raw, the lyrical content is well complimented by the song. You pulled off a lot of tricky feats that most successful artists can't do these days. Well done.

Hehe - Neil Young - "Keep on wocking in da fwee werld".

Singing is my weakest link, so I am not offended. I'm surprised I can pull off what I can pull off. Plus I have the lowest vocal range so hitting high notes sucks. :biker:

Bump to say the OP has been edited and a newer version is up (with a key-change).

But if people are coming straight to the last posts, I'll leave this here:

    My best work, I think.

Deleted the other songs because they weren't final.

    THIS is final:

But I don't expect much here on Hip Forums.

Just wondering what you mean by that. I never expect much of these forums myself, especially when sharing creative works, so it's not a loaded question. It's just a bit unclear..
