Couldn't agree with you more! I just bought it on DVD today actually. When I saw at the pictures (just the other week) I wept really much, for the first time in years over a movie. Few movies deal with fantasy and the purity of childhood in such a moving and intelligent way. Depp and Winslet are among my favourite actors and did great but still the children really stole the show here!
This film came out during the Michael Jackson trial, and I couldn't help thinking there was a sub-plot indirectly exploring and exposing guilt ridden boundaries between adult-child interaction.
It looked pretty good...now I'll definitely check it out. Ever seen Artificial Intelligence: AI? That's the only movie I remember crying about...
I liked it quite a bit. I didn't cry, but thats cause I was really confused. When the mom dies, I didn't know she died, I thought she was like walking into a garden somehow and all that stuff was really there... :&
ha, you're lucky I'm far to emotional when it comes to movies, I cry in everything.:& :& And yep, i cried in this. but it was an amazing film. sad, funny, beautiful, magical...just great
