fired from work for calling the chef a douchebag...

I wanted to talk about this before RT was taken down for a bit.....

and I never got to.......

but I witnessed some pothead kid get fired for calling the chef a douchebag. it was hilarious.

and Im glad he is gone. he made things run not so smoothly back in the kitchen. I dont know why, but he just did....... and he would always try to start arguments with me, and gave me no respect. good riddance to that wannabe rastafarian!

 

what exactly do you do Mr. Crappie, and what kind of food does your place serve?

Im not that stupid......

I would never call someone who has power over me a name which would ultimately get me fired. I work with a bunch of kids (around 19-20) who dont know what kind of trouble they can get into....

anyways, I am a cook, and back of the house supervisor...... we serve burgers, steaks, sandwiches, salads, pasta, some seafood....... its a bar n grille, but high quality bar food.....

 

Sometimes I'd like to yell at my boss, or at the least speak my mind more freely but I'd rather keep a pleasant work environment for myself and...oh yeah get paid.

Yep, MC, you said it: a big part of being an adult is knowing when it's worth it to say something, and when that something will actually MAKE a DIFFERNCE, and knowing when just saying whatever floats though one's mind is.......Random Shit that will make no difference 30 minutes from now, and could cause long lasting damage to one's career, life, love and well being. ...........or even what internet site one posts on.

Y'know what I mean.

 

Now the sad part is he may very well end up on wellfare and then you and the rest of the tax payers will have too pay too feed him, it's like a no win situation with some, some people out there you cant stand too work with, but at the same time if they dont find a steady job they end up on wellfare and the tax payers flip the bill. I dont blame people for being upset over stuff like this either, Atleaste he is out of your face though.

 

well, he was in the process of putting in his two weeks, but he had a real attitude about it, and called the chef a douchebag, while saying he was going to put his two weeks in, so the chef said, you know what?? dont even worry about workin out those two weeks, you are fired.

 

yeah, in food service, I would rather a disgruntled employee be sent home immediately.

no, he is a funny motherfucker.....

he has great taste in music, knows his shit.... yeah, he can be a hard ass at times, but yet, he doesnt take everything seriously....... its a happy medium. I think he is cool.

I would say so. I think everything I serve is the best ever. I strive to make the best. but I specialize in steaks, I dont think anyone can beat my steaks I cut and cook

yes, I know my prime rib....... secret is the au ju ........ and slow cooking the prime rib, with extra seasoning.......

we have been running it on saturday nights, but unfortunately, the servers dont seem to do any suggestive selling....... so we might not run prime rib for special anymore...... when you dont sell prime rib, it hurts, because its so expensive

prime rib is the bomb, though.....

just too bad that its hard to get good food cost out of prime rib......... you lose so much weight during the cooking process, so you cant get many portions out of one piece, so, if its slow, and servers arent suggestively selling specials, it sucks!
