so i've taken cid twice, one on halloween 2009, that trip was okay too intense for me, partly because i should have picked better people to trip with.
then i tripped again this past halloween 2010. i was in a good mood that day, and with people i trust. i only took one hit that night, yet that night turned into one of the scariest nights of my life. i thought there were cuts on me for some reason and suddenly i didn't trust my friends a bit. and not to mention i was extermely paranoid the whole time. i think i'm just paranaoid and intense enough sober so when i take cid it makes it much more unbearable for me.
anyways last night i was laying in bed until about five and couldn't sleep so i finally decided to get up and take a sleeping pill (one 10 mg) a little bit after i got in bed i started seeing shit in the dark, not sure what it was. and it looked like there was something right in front of me and when i reached to touch it my hand went thru. and then i didn't know where the hell i was, so i took my phone out and the words were all confusing and the pics on my phone, the faces were moving and had swirls and stuff in them.

was this a flashback or am i just fucked in the head?

My guess is that you were in some sort of a sleep delirium.. trying to fall asleep, while being very tired and having taken a sleeping pill (what exactly is in your "sleeping pills" anyways?). Your mind was probably tired to the point that you were having visuals while sort of drifting off to sleep.

I've never actually heard of someone having a full out, proper visual flashback - I suppose it could be possible that it happened, but I would think it is more likely something to do with sleep.

I agree, more likely from lack of sleep then LSD use.

    .....ambien?

Lots of explanations. LSD could have something to do with it, and sounds like it probably did, or any other psychedelics you take could have played a role. But it sounds like the sleep meds are what kicked it off. I wouldn't worry about it, personally.

sleep meds can cause hallucinations by themselves

if you don't want to be scared during your trips, then maybe you shouldn't trip on halloween. :p

i wouldn't worry about it, especially if it was a one-time occurrence. it sounds like a mix of being really tired and sleep medicine.

darkness makes a proper backdrop for the mind to fill with hallucinations. i imagine its more noticable after having been opened up by psychedelics (it was for me), but its a normal visual phenomenon to a certain degree.
also...you just took a sleeping pill. the space between wake and sleep can be very strange.
i wouldnt worry too much about this kind of expirience.

sometimes the worry does more harm than the thing itself

last time i dosed i had a sort of grid pattern cev. then not too long ago i was sleeping and woke up in the middle of the night and the same exact grid pattern was fading in and out. so i guess you could have had a flashback. i always thought it was a myth though
