$&^%&**&!!! wow, over 1500 to go to france at the end of july into mid august round trip. no wonder so many freakin airlines are struggling! that is utter shit. far to much money..and that is the cheapest i found. even for late december into mid january i was lucky to find something under 1000...*&()*%...where does the money go when you give an airline 1000+? seriously where do these companies get off. heellp thanks for listening to my rant. there is no way to justify the steep costs of traveling over seas. somebody is pocketing the majority of the money from each ticket sold and laughing there asses off..ugghh, extremely frustrated.
there is another company called "airhitch" that offers standby type flights to europe for under 300 a bucks I think.. I have never used them personally but it might be worth googling. Good Luck!
i guess maybe you could stay home and watch tv......i hear "traveling france" is a good dvd..... and i take it that since they own the planes that they can charge what they want...... ...and it is what 3000-4000 miles over and ocean? and you will be there in a few hours ....oh the horrors.... tho there are specials and deals out there ....look harder you could grow wings.......or maybe swim? dont forget the speedos...
I think it also depends on how early in advance you search for flights. For instance, if it's May, and you want to travel to England from L.A. that July, the flight is going to be more expensive than if you searched for the flight back in January. At least, that's what it's been from my experience.
tell me about it we fly to spain for 2 weeks hoiladay in about 3 weeks and have been saving like hell
gas and oil prices are through the roof, which causes all kinds of travel to up their prices........ airline tickets are so high, because gas isnt cheap....... and it takes alot of fuel to fly one of those things.......
With the prices being so high, at least it's a deterrent. Flying is costly to the environment aswell as the pocket. Personally, I think it's a horrible way to travel... it freaks me out, but I prefer it to spending months on a ship or whatever.
