Im thinking about getting a foot tat when the funds become available.. But I have overly sensitive feet and boney and I am scared that it will hurt like a mofo and I would cry and look like a dumbass...I got a tat on my leg and that didnt hurt but my feet are the most sensitive thing.. And also I heard they fade faster and so forth.. if anyone has one or anything at all, please share...thanks...
I think it would hurt like a mofo and you would probably cry.. I don't know about the fading.....my tattoo is 11 years old and doesn't look too faded...it's on my tummy and doesn't see a lot of sun, though.. It felt like a lit match being dragged across my skin and I was bruised for a couple of weeks. Felt like I'd been kicked in the groin with a steel-toe cowboy boot.. I want an anklet some day, but first the tat I have needs repair.....having 2 babies gave it a couple of stretch marks..oops. The woman who did it said she could fix it up no prob though, I figure it could use a re-colour anyway.
haha yeah, i think id cry too.. You are a brave woman cause I would definitely cry if i got one on my tummy.. What is it of? i know i hate how they do fade cause the one of my leg has faded and looks shitty and not as bright anymore..its black but now it looks like a faded grey
I wanted one on the feet too, but when the tatoo artist agrees that its gonna hurt...alot...I chickened out. I'm such a wuss~!
whoa cause they hardly ever say that it hurts id probably would have too.. I can tolerate pain (well some) just as long as its real quick, like a bandaid action..but tattoos take hours...haha too bad they cant give you novacane(sp)
I want one soooo bad... I heard it really really hurts.... But the one person I actually know who has one said it wasnt that bad
i'd be worried about the fading.. tattoo's are supposed to be permanent, they aren't supposed to fade when you're shelling out x dollars per hour (120 here for my tattoo artist)... expensive for something that isnt' gonna last as long as it's supposed to.
when I got mine on my lower/middle back, I asked the tattoo artist if there is any place that's supposed to hurt more, and he said the feet! I was like well, shit, I wanted one there. He also said they definitely fade faster and some tattoos don't take well on the feet just because of irregularities in the skin. I don't know, I'm still considering one though, despite all of that!
haha now i am not too sure if i want a foot tat i might just get one on my toe and see how well i tolerate that and yes daisy, haha that is you but that sounds cute... i wanted a leafless tree on my lower back..
Foot tats only make ugly feet look even uglier. I highly recommend just constantly covering your feet and letting the dirtiest of dirt bags get the tats.
i want one there, too... but the one on my ankle hurt like a mofo... so i can just imagine how painful it would be on my foot. yeow!
thats why i think they should numb you first, ya know bet a lot more people would get them..thats why i never got one on my back was too scared it would hurt and id be so embarrassed if i cried or something..
I just got a tattoo on my foot last Tuesday. I have a high tolerance for pain, but it didn't actually hurt that badly. It stung a little but nothing that I couldn't tolerate. What others have posted was true though. Foot tats do fade fast because there isn't anything really to hold on to the ink. But at most places, you can get it fixed for little to no cost at all...as often as you need! Mine says "dancer" in chinese. I've had lots of compliments and I think it adds a little something to my foot...I don't know...It didn't hurt to badly I didn't think.
foot tattoos arnt as bad as ones on your leg. pinch your foot then pinch your leg...my leg hurts worst...it wouldnt hurt as much
Pain is not what keeps me from getting a tattoo. I do honestly believe that I could handle the pain of a tattoo -- I just have to look around me at the world and realize that these people who have them, they certainly can't all have higher tolerances to pain than I have! I have a decent one, to be sure! No, the reason I won't get a tattoo is that I dislike the idea of just paying some dude or dudette to put one on me, for money, end of transaction. I walk away, we don't even know each other, see ya, have a nice life. The only way I would ever get a tattoo -- since for me it would be a sort of mystical experience/thing to have -- would be if I myself could put the tattoo on myself! It would also have to be my own design, one that was totally original. But since I doubt that I'm headed in the direction of learning to do tattoos, that probably means I'll never get one. Also, I think of them as a fad -- it has surged SOOOOO MUCH in the last decade or so -- and I don't like engaging in fad compliance. I don't have a problem with others having tattoos. And since I love feet, I admit that I am fascinated when a girl has a tattoo on her foot/feet. But down deep, I do not like it. Because a girl's feet are sacred things to me (yes, suitable for worship, like the rest of the sacred girl herself), I don't like to see them marked or changed, the way a tattoo does. I prefer to see the "pure foot." Does that make any sense to you? Probably not. If it does, then you may just have a foot fetish like me! Anyway, those are my reasons for opining that you should not get a tattoo on your foot. Of course, the choice is yours. -Jeffrey
